Vitale just filibustered to hide the fact that no one has heard the tape and to prevent having to admit that Self is in just as bad. The only thing Vitale accomplished was that he does, in fact, carry water for Self, Pitino, and the like.

This was always going to happen. He's not going to answer any questions about anything that would offend any of his buddies that are coaching.
