re: Marceaux or Henry on Saturday?

Marceaux. If you win, then you have Henry on the mound with a ticket to the CWS on the line. If you lose, then you have Henry on the mound in a game to stay alive.
THIS. Let Marceaux go as long as he can to save the BP (hopefully 6IP). Have a well-rested, and ready to go Henry to start a HUGE Sunday game.
IRT the BP, have a QUICK hook. If someone is off - walks, HBP, hits, etc. - pull them. They won't have many P's on their arm and can be used again. We have about 6 reliable arms in the BP. Make them count.

Henry in my mind, no question. I understand that others may feel that Marceaux is the better pitcher at this point. Either way, it's a win or go home series. You don't out think yourself or try to get cute with your pitching rotation. You pitch the best pitcher available on any game day with no regard for what you might do in a game that might not even happen. Saving a pitcher for game three is a great way to lose games 1 and 2 and get bounced.
This is playoff baseball. It is NOT the same game or thought process as regular season baseball. Losses have massive downside in postseason play and my philosophy is that you do whatever you can to avoid them entirely and if you have to play a third game, you do it with whoever's available after you left everything on the table trying to win the early games.
Oh, and he's denied this before, but I think BaseballTiger17 is #ProfessionalPosterChrisReid

I've posted in the game thread at times and def while the game is going on so how can I be Chris Reid?
I am a fan just like some of you here.

The reason Marceaux threw on Friday last week is so they could set up the rotation for the Super. Why change what works?

I just think Henry's the better pitcher (though realistically, Marceaux and Henry can be considered 1A and 1B when they're both dealing) and would prefer to see him first. I agree that with the rotation set as it is by the regional order, it should be left alone at this point. I'd just prefer Henry had been healthy enough last week to set him up as the game 1 starter going through the rest of the postseason.

Don't try to fool us. We know smartphones work in the dugout and the clubhouse, #ProfessionalPosterChrisReid.
Maybe I'll believe if you post while I'm watching #ProfessionalUtilityInfielderChrisReid in the infield, but having someone else post under your screenname while you're in the field is just the sort of thing that #ProfessionalPosterChrisReid would do to throw us off the scent.

You may not be Chris Reid, but you're definitely more than just a fan.

I have season tickets just like the other fans. I don’t have a parking pass however, so I have to park in the hayfield every game.

Well then how the heck did you know our regional opponents hours before they were announced?

posters on TD have a knack for figuring out things. be careful with what information you give out. Someone will eventually figure it out. unless it has already been discovered, Chris Reid.

You will absolutely never figure out who I am

I know I won't, and I don't really care enough to spend time on that. Just keep feeding us this info the "little birdie" feeds you.

What's there to spend time on? BaseballTiger17 shows up with impeccable information. Chris Reid wears #17. 17 is a prime number.
YOU CAN'T ARGUE WITH THAT!

As I have said before, I started my account in 2017. Its not that hard to see that.

With all due respect, you might as well just embrace the Reid meme because denying it will serve no purpose but to feed it.
Oh, and thanks for the info, whatever your source.

Marceaux would have gone in the 2-3 rounds out of high school had he not wanted to come to LSU. The dude is super talented. I think he commands his secondary pitches a little better than Henry. That's important with a hot hitting team like FSU and you really need to jump out and get that first game against a hot team. I say go with Marceaux

Yep. I'm just gonna run with it because it amuses me at this point. Plus, it's going to be awesome when the big reveal happens.

He isn’t Chris Reid, I have an idea, but I don’t care because I appreciate the info. Thanks BT 17.
