Yes, it would be horrible to hire the man responsible for our outstanding defense from 2005-2007.

I know. So horrible

If O thinks Pelini is up for the task I'm on board

Coach O knows. That's all that matters.

Pelini may just be super hungry to re-build his career in big time college football instead of floundering in the minor leagues and living in his home town but sad place - Youngstown.

Well that settles it then. Go ahead and hire who you think is the best fit.

So many people rely on the "reputation" ...
Pelini is not good. Once his D was analyzed by the other coordinators, he had nothing new to add. His first D was very good and it started going downhill. Nebraska can tell you.

but I know this, his defenses at LSU were always dominating and fun to watch.

I liked his defenses and liked that he was involved, went to other sporting events to show support.

But most of you guys wanted to run him and Les out of town after the Tennessee loss. Not to mention we gave up some ridiculous yards to Arizona State in the game before that.

Id be willing the bet that some of you loons telling people to calm down will be the first bitching when we get scored on.

You clowns can panic all you want. Coach O has earned the right to make these decisions, wrong or right. Windows aren't closing, Louisiana will always have talent. If he makes a mistake like with Canada, he has show he's willing to change directions, and that's all I want. I loved Les's personality and hated his stubbornness and resistance to change, Coach O is not Les Miles. What I see here is the same group crying, the same ones who didn't want O. They will just second guess every decision. No one should follow with blind faith, but to have no faith at all after this season is ridiculous.

Have they coached together? Honestly didn’t know they were friends (or how).

Pelini if Hired will bow down to Coach O. Or else he’ll be coaching at Lavonia high school the next year.

Didn't O hire Canada. I am a great O admirer but enough of he can't make mistakes. If Pelini is a mistake, will O get rid of him after a year like he did Canada or will we be stuck with him because of their friendship? Remember Dinardo and Tepper.

People have said Pelini is crazy and is always mad/yelling.

Is this true? I don't remember 2005-07 well defensively.

But also, he was 41 when he left and is 52 now. People mellow with age. Being angry is tiring.

Use a little critical thinking next time.

For the love of all that is holy, please use some semblance of proper spelling and grammar next time. I’m assuming that English is your native language, and wondering how someone can be so inept at communicating in their native language. Your posts are incredibly painful to read.

I'm not sure either. Hard for a HC to become a coordinator then you add that's he's a hot head on top of that. Also, the kids are use to Aranda who was laid back and Pelini is not that at all.
