Hopefully. They will still throw money at him to see if they can change his mind and get him to sign

This is crazy, how do we make these numbers work? NCAA has to fix the calendar.

This kid plays center field and is very good at it. Damn good with the bat as well. You can pencil him in as one of the starting outfielders for the fighting tigahs that’s for sure.

Which transfer will he start over? I just don’t see how any of these freshman have a path to regular playing time this season unless someone we expect to start doesn’t live up to expectations.

If people don’t think this is a possibility, they live under a rock. Anything is possible, and don’t trust anyone.

Its not hard for freshman to start in College baseball. Derek Curiel, Steve Milam, etc. Plus we have no starters in the outfield right now. The path for him to start should be easy. The kid is a beast.

We brought in 3 OFs in the transfer portal who are highly regarded including the top player in the portal. Not sure what you're talking about. There isn't anything that is going to be easy.

LSU has a future first round pick, a Freshmen All American, and a veteran player from a solid conference already there plus Patrick.

absolutely not. He would have to be like a Braun where his hitting makes him a mainstay.

Many of LSU’s signees said they were coming to Baton Rouge, not just him. Stop being so narrow minded. I like the fact that Coach Johnson’s team will ball seriously this fall once he identifies the pitchers he can trust to throw strikes.

Geaux Tigers.

Malachi Washington … sounds like a great name for a shutdown cornerback.Or maybe a wide receiver.

We paid hefty fees to get all 3 transfer OFers. You are off your rocker if you don’t think they will get first crack at starting.

I’m not saying he definitively can’t win a job but this idea you have that it’ll be easy is just naive.

You have no clue if he can hit high level college pitching yet

We signed 3 OFs in the portal, have a few more incoming freshman outfielders, and Patrick returning. There are also infielders who may see time in the OF. Despite Curiel, Brown, and Stanfield moving on, I wouldn’t say a freshman looking to start next year bring an easy path
