Can you comment on us getting worse in conf? You remember in conf right? Ots the thing you used to tout a 4 loss season in 2017. I wonder why your stance changed that quick.

no change, we played well in conference but came away with a close loss on the road largely influenced by a series of unfavorable ref calls. Anyway I saw improvement. You don't see it? So be it, no sweat off my back.

This coming season should be another very solid year as well or at least it is lining up to be depending on how the ball bounces. We will all see it soon enough.

Its amazing watching you tout a 2018 offense that was no where near as productive as the 2015 offense that you bashed.

not sure what you call bashing but it did under perform considering we had Fournette and Guice at RB. I've been saying for years that the offense philosophy needed to change and that it was far behind the times and antiquated. Glad we now have a coach that can see that and is willing to take steps to address the issue. Also I never said the 2018 offense was some kind of juggernaut, just that it wasn't as bad as it was made out to be by some of our fans. If you perceive that as 'touting' it, then so be it. I more look at it as defending it. But really, they don't need me to defend anything. It's going to be what it will be soon enough, and I am looking forward to it.

I'm looking forward to it too. I'm a little worried about right tackle but I think the depth is there in case somebody stumbles. In fact I think across the offensive line there will be somebody to pick up the slack if someone can't handle their business. 2018 wasn't as bad as they say but it wasn't great either.

Finished higher than Bama, Ohio state, and fsu( when they were good) in points per game and yards per game.

The 2015 offense was vastly superior to the 2018 offense yet i dont see you saying the 2018 offense underachieved.

Addressed it by having a worse offense than almost every single miles offense?

The day before the last game of the regular season our offense was one of the least productive offenses in cfb.
We went an entire month without throwing a passing td.

I wonder why youre not taking that offense to task like you did for more productive miles offenses.
It just comes off hypocritical.

But youre entitled to your opinion.

Its the feels we had from 2012 to 2013.

We were returning the QB and WR’s and they had a year+ of experience. We have been rotating QB’s for the past half decade that were’nt worth a shite and it’s nice knowing we have a senior guy who is reliable. WITH a backup where we wouldnt freak out if he had to come if something happened to Burrow.

On a side note, I dont ever remember having this much experienced depth at WR and what a perfect time to have Joe Brady come in and have us utilize all this talent.

You’re right. Things like completion percentage, yards, yard per play, points per game, sacks allowed, and stats like that are just made up numbers and horrible ways to judge an offense

See the last 15 years except for OBJ and Laundry’s last season at LSU.

It is warranted.

it very well may be. but we’ve heard this same talk every year for a decade plus and never actually saw any results.

Crowton, Stud, Cameron, Canada, Slinger, etc.

oh that’s right, Brady is here now.
search for posts from when we hired Billy Gonzales away from Florida as “passing game coordinator”.
it’s almost the exact same sentences being spoken.

hell, O hasn’t even changed up his coach speak from last year about the offense.

both springs, this is “exactly the offense i envisioned for LSU”.

so yeah, maybe this year will be different.
but you can’t blame people for wanting to actually see it before just blindly jumping in.

I’m not saying I 100% agree with OP but the Georgia came was a goddamn clinic in how to make clutch plays to close out a game.

And how many field goals did we need to kick in that game? Should have won by at least 2 touchdowns more than what they did.

“ just that it wasn’t as bad as it was made out to be by some of our fans”

It was the ninth best offense in the SEC. i’m pretty sure that up until just recently that would’ve been seen as “bad” by many who post here.

LSU fans always look forward to the football season. It’s our thing. There’s nothing wrong with looking forward to it and there’s nothing wrong with having some concerns about how the O will perform considering it’s history of performance in the last five years.

We're going to miss Tracy. Let's face it. We lost games because of a lack of a kicking game the year before. Tracy was so great to have because he was so reliable. Probably 3 or more wins just because of him.

I'm kind of scared shiteless about what we're going to see this year. I swear if we go back to missing simple field goals and extra points the fans will revolt. Especially if we continually stall out like we did last year on offense.

Crowton, Stud, Cameron, Canada, Slinger,
2 of your group have SEC skins and NCG appearances, and one with a NC ring.
3 of these are OCs of Top 5 LSU Scoring Offenses. Venture a guess which 2 are not?

That offense successfully executed more critical plays at critical times than any offense LSU has had in years.

Do you ever actually have an opinion about playing the game of football?

Ive never interacted with more of a bitch in my life. Youre more worried about the posting habbits of other guys than discussing football.
Stop crying and add to the thread, Linda.

Hear, hear! They had many a first down and yard gained against the vaunted Saban defense. There are more important things in this world than points. What about points for trying? They would have been undefeated.
