Of course they did and I feel sorry for people that can’t see that.

Statistically the offense in 2018 was better than the great 2011 team, but statistics alone don't win games.

Maybe if LSU played one of the toughest schedules, your point may be valid.

Oh Yeah! LSU DID play one of the toughest schedules in the NCAA!!
go look at 2015 and get back to me.
The offense was better then than last year before that 20 hour TAMU game!

Wow, you’re right. We were a juggernaut.

Right but the million OTs in the A&M game padded those stats. The offense has a huge advantage in OT due to where the ball is spotted and the fact that the D is exhausted.

The great 2011 team’s offense relied on wearing people down and pummeling them in the fourth quarter. 2018’s O-Line was incapable of this by a long shot.
They were not considered a great offensive team then, so I don’t know what you’re trying to prove.

this is what matters. 2018 was just a tad bit better than garbage.

Well, the offense looked hopeless against Alabama again so that's probably what people are referring to.

And Florida, and Mississippi State...

Any team with an actual defense shut down our offense for extended periods of time.

Offense didn’t crack the top 25 in any meaningful statistic. Unacceptable and indefensible.

How about the offense consistently puts up points and sustains drives all game, and consistently scores in the mid-30's like most well-coached modern offenses?

Yeah, that’s the norm alright.

But the TEAM did. Which is more important?

What statistic do you speak of?
Nationally:
2011 was #7 in points/play, 2018 #42.
2011 #19 Offensive TDs(#3 LSU history), 2018 #52 with 7OTs worth of "short fields".

2018 ran a lot of plays and passed a bunch very inefficiently for 83rd nationally in yds/play, 2011 was 36th.

Should we even discuss games won?

The TEAM being in the top 25 didn't matter at the end of the last coach's tenure. Why should it now?

Championships are what matter, and LSU is no closer now than they were in 2015. That is the real problem that no one wants to discuss.
