Make Tiger Stadium Great Again!

Do you find our atmosphere to be weak? I do! Mostly people complain, and do not get loud when other teams are on offense. We have believed our own hype. We need more noise and positivity from our fans. We get quiet way too quick. Entitled! I was in Oxford and it was electric. We can't let those snobs do better than us. I love being in that stadium, but we need to step it up. MTSGA!

I was in section 419 and most people are too lazy to stand make noise when the other team has the ball. Even on third down more than half of the people are sitting down and not screaming. Plus, 30% of the people are on their phone and not even watching the game.

Been going to LSU games since the early 80's. The current Tiger Stadium experience is laughable. You'd basically have to pay me to go to a game these days.

One thing I noticed and is a bit of a commentary of society is that the crowd wouldn’t really get going until they were cued to do so. Fairly tame until “it’s third doooownnn!” came out of the PA. That is something that Oxford did do better - they kept their fans cheering like seals at all the EDM/South Beach sensory stimuli. Other than that they were pretty tame.

It’s was a bit of an odd atmosphere vs 8-4. Campus was pretty dead most of the day, stadium wasn’t as hyped to start the game. Crowd locked in after the Faggie band and those fudge packing cheerleaders started chanting/playing during the Alma Mater. But it was a bit of a weird start.
Clemson was absolutely electric. I expect MSU to be a slow start for the crowd, but Bama and Tejas are going to be fricking bananas.

It's over. It was a great run. The fan base is just not the same. You will never get people to stay past halftime or the 3rd quarter, just not going to happen.

Oxford was always going to be a great atmosphere because of the circumstances surrounding the game. No different than LSU in 2008 when Saban returned.
As for the home games this season the game itself dictates the involvement of the crowd. It was loud early in the Clemson game until LSU took over. Same vs A&M. But the circumstances didn't lead to constant noise...and that is a GOOD thing here.
The crowd gets loudest when LSU is on defense. Well, the defense performed well enough to where A&M didn't run many plays in the first half. Of A&M's 6 1st half possessions only one went beyond 5 plays. LSU had a 14-3 lead at HT. A&M then went 3 and out to open the 2nd half. LSU took the ball and scored. LSU then got a 4th down stop after just 4 plays and scored again to make it 28-3. At that point the crowd didn't necessarily feel like it HAD to be a part of the game. LSU was dominating.
Contrast that with last week. OM went up 17-0 and, ultimately, 24-7 at the half. Maybe the home crowd was about to "rest". But then LSU scored 14 in the third to make it a 24-21 game going into the fourth. The crowd felt they had to be a part of the game. No different than the LSU crowd at home vs. Ole Miss in 2024.
Close games drive the level of engagement from the home crowd. When midway through the 3rd quarter it is 38-3 (Clemson) and 28-3 (A&M) the crowd isn't going to be as engaged.

They’ve made many changes that have not been ideal

I noticed this too...Like when did LSU fans have to be told to get loud?
As for leaving early....always going to be a problem when game is not in doubt and post game traffic is so horrific. The allure of LSU football is the tailgating and the game. Once the game is "over" in the fans minds, they leave to get a jump on the horrific traffic.
Some of the fixes should be easy. Open up the feeder roads, and stop forcing everyone down a few main roads. Like someone said in other traffic threads....turning onto River Road shouldn't force me to go all the way into the Hood of BR when I could easily go up one of the downtown roads to get on the interstate.

Ole Miss violated SEC rules by playing piped music even during the snaps. SEC rules required the PA, band and piped music to stop once the center has his hands on the ball. LSU follows those rules.
Ole Piss (and Bama ) fans waved pom pom's and act like that makes noise. Tiger Stadium is unmatched for crowd noise. You must be watching the games on your TV.

Oxford was speakers dude. I'm sure the crowd was raucous. But you were mostly impressed by loud piped in crowd noise.
