With all the freshman on the roster seeing significant playing time I think this is more of a make-break game for our young Tigers than the Bulldogs. LSU is supposed to win and that's a lot of pressure on the new guys playing in hostile environment in SEC for 1st time. We'll see.... Any thoughts?

Here we go again. Every game is make or break for the coach, or the players, or the program as a whole.

No enjoyment of Tiger football.

Simmer down. Even if Moo State takes the lead, we now have coaches that will MAKE ADJUSTMENTS at halftime. What a new and exciting concept!

Yeah I think O knows he has to prove something this weekend. He doesn't need to quickly have another fan divide like we saw the last few years with Miles.

It is simply a must win for LSU. I can't see the tigers getting much credit for the win considering Auburn and Florida are on the horizon in the 1st half of the season.

Much closer to make or break for MSU.

I think it's a big deal for both our season and the outlook for Coach O. I think fans would understand losses to Bama and Auburn but if we start dropping games to Miss State, UF, or A&M, everyone is going to get a lot less chipper about CEO and this program's future

Hell yes it's a make or break for LSU. If the Tigers lose its back to the middle of the pack in the SEC and a fight to finish as a top 25 team.

It won't "make" our season but it could hurt it. Last year just a close win was enough to add another nail to Miles' coffin. Orgeron needs to not only beat them but do it convincingly.

Nah. We'll just make them bend to our will. Go right at their strength. That'll show 'em.

We are very young at some key spots. I don't think we are ready to contend for the Sec by any means but I see our tigers getting better and better each week. By November all of these 15 freshman will be so much more seasoned and imo will be able to play with anyone. However we're young enough and still learning the offense to lose this game. Miss state has a legit DC now with a weapon at qb. one of our tougher matchups imo. We could lose this one and I still think we beat auburn and UF. So season isn't lost if we lose a close one.

Too early to say make or break imho, none of the young players on this team have lost many games since starting playing the game of football. They expect to win, as they should. That being said; the team fully expected to win in 2003 against a down year Florida team and didn't, the wake up call of that loss put that team on fire.

The build up and hype before the game is part of the fun. I'm viewing this as a big game.

Canada may have to use 25% of the play sheet.

Every conference game is make or break when you have a big flawless elephant sitting on top of it. If you want ANY chance at a playoff or being top 10, then you can't afford to lose to anyone except the elephant in the room. Honestly, the elephant in the room is the only team who get's to lose against us and still play us for the NC. We would never be allowed a rematch, it just doesn't work that way except for the media darling.

So yes, a loss this weekend pretty much screws the year, but that's always been the case, unless Bama starts losing a few. And I can't wait for that to happen, even if it's ole Miss doing the beating. I have a feeling this could very well be a very special season for us. Trouble with the Bulldogs would throw a LOT of cold water on that feeling though.
