Your post is spot on but let's not call Bama a media darling. By doing so, you imply that the past six years didn't go down the way they did. If Ohio State gets into the playoffs as a 1 loss team, so will Bama. And rightfully so. I just hope we are that one loss. If we win the SEC, we are in the playoff. That's it.

Break - possibly. A loss would be borderline catastrophic. I say borderline because lose this one and win out and its okay. Maybe even this one and lose bama and it's okay.

Make- not a shot. Win and not much changes. Except for O building on his progress/success.

I would say we are in a no win situation. Win and we did what was expected of us. Lose and well...the sky is falling.

We should win this convincingly IF we don't have killer penalties, TOs, and miss FGs. If we can have positive results in these areas or at least 2 of the 3 we should win. If we go 3 for 3 we should win convincingly. If LSU goes 0 for 3 it will be a toss up game and who knows what can happen.

The leaders of this team need to be stepping up this week, telling these young guys what to expect and how physical the game is played. If we do that we'll be fine. We have a good mixture of veterans with this team. O said it this week that he should probably start the veterans in this game then bring the freshman in as the game goes on. If you start a bunch of freshman in an SEC road game who knows how they will react.

Lastly we have coach Canada and Aranda who are two of the best at preparing their respective sides of the ball. We have O to instill the toughness that will be needed. He needs to fire them up but let them know to play explosive but under control. Play smart, fast and relentless. Ole Miss saw that this LSU team isn't the same team now it's States turn to feel it. LSU is supposed to win and that's a lot of pressure on the new guys playing in hostile-ish environment in SEC for 1st time

Good point about not being "ready to contend for the SEC by any means" followed by the word "yet" IMHO. We get this game out of the way w "W" and learn how to win away from home games in SEC this could turn into a playoff contending team. NEXT! Geaux Tigers!
