I know our fans have post-traumatic stress disorder from our shitty basketball the last few years, but we shouldn't be falling for this. The Ohio Valley Conference is a major step up from where Evans is at.

We would all like a "Statement hire". Just don't expect an established coach at a big-time program to come.

You see what's going on here don't you? Info gets out about someone a lot of people haven't heard of and now some have changed their tune on having JJ as the next coach. It's like having to pick between drinking pond water, piss or a shite shake and JJ is the pond water.

No one with instant-impact capability wants to come here. Get over it. We need to go young because it's going to take some time to get where we want to go. We are not as attractive as most schools playing college bball right now.
The LSU bball vacancy = Minnesota football HC
Any coach is a big risk especially coming here, a place that is not exactly a hotbed of bball talent. Evans has all the intangibles everyone wished TJ had plus he can coach. Brings way more appeal to LSU than most of the coaches that have been mentioned especially Tubby MF Smith. We do not need an old a$$ fart here, unless he is Coach K, Cal, or R. Williams.
We need a major makeover here. We need a coach who will relate to and appeal to the hipper youth today.
