LSU immediately became a better program the day Jay was hired.
The results speak for themselves.
Tell your boy Paul to enjoy retirement

You “simply said”?
You wrote an entire essay

GFY. Just what I thought, baseless claims that can’t be substantiated so you resort to name calling and attacking someone’s job performance at another location. You obviously have a phallus on the mind though. He left LSU in 2021 and started USC in 2024. Not sure he still owed much to LSU. Stroke your scraggle beard and take a lap, or are you going to continue with the immature banter someone who hasn’t accomplished much in life if prone to do? I respect all the Coaches who change kids futures and provide a great experience wherever they coach. Paul, and Skip, and Jay and many others have done just that. Just a little of what Paul did for LSU, including a National Title, same as Jay has done. Mainieri retired after the 2021 season at LSU with the 2009 national championship, the 2017 runner-up finish and five trips to the College World Series (2008, ’09, ’13, ’15 and ’17). Under Mainieri, LSU was consistently a fixture at or near the top of the SEC, and the nation, year-in and year-out. There were six straight top-eight national seeds from 2012-17 and nine overall under Mainieri. He took LSU to nine Super Regionals, including that last season in ’21 when Mainieri delivered one of his better coaching jobs. The team finished 13-17 in the SEC before rallying to get within two wins of Omaha. LSU won four SEC regular season titles (2009, ’12, ’15, ’17) and six SEC Tournament crowns (2008, ’09, ’10, ’13, ’14 and ’17) under Mainieri.
Everyone is laughing at you, Paul.
Arkansas just scored again.

Didn’t South Carolina have a football coach quit in mid season a few years back?

He won us a NC why hate on him..seriously…
Because he’s a selfish coach that admitted he put coaching on cruise control after the NC. He wouldn’t retire or leave so he basically held LSU hostage with average seasons while he collected millions. Then he went and did the same to USCe. He is no different than Brian Kelly for what he did to USCe.

Damn you've gone full retard in this thread.
None of what you stated makes Paul a "horrible human being".
If he's putting a staff together at USC, he doesn't owe LSU jack shite. Would you want CJJ to not bring over a stud assistant from Arizona even if it is a chance to make LSU better?
Stop acting like a jilted foolish lover.

Probably should not have taken the USCe job. Maybe he wanted or needed the money. Who knows. Hopefully he enjoys retirement in BR.

Anyone hating on Paul can get fricked

It was equal parts a curious and awkward decision by USC and a bad choice by PM to try to coach again at this stage in his life - that was a doomed experiment from the start.

Resigns vs. Fired is a $5.2 million dollar swing.

Yep, Spurrier, right after the LSU game.

I think Paul was bitter about LSU wanting to go in another direction . That’s why he took the SC job to try and prove that he was still a good coach. A lot of the 23 team that won NC were his players and I think that made him bitter. His EGO got the best of him.

Should have never come back, let his ego get the best of him . Needed to retire 10 years ago
