You are correct, Alleva did not build the basketball program into a SEC Champion & Sweet 16 Participant and Will Wade, 100% did. He did it by playing the way Kentucky, Duke, Kansas, N Carolina, Syracuse, Michigan St, and Villanova do it.

You cannot build an elite program anywhere without doing things you “officially” aren’t supposed to do.

Alleva is the clown who doesn’t know when to shut up and stare down the media when they bully you.

If Wade stays I care very little about next year. Enough talent to make the tournament and continue to build for the future. I just want Wade for the next 5 to 10 years and for that asshat AD to be gone

If that conversation is all they have then it's not going to be cleared up. He'll just say nothing and that conversation isn't enough to pin anything on him.

Then this suspension will have served no purpose at all but to screw up our NCAA tournament run and future recruiting.

Exactly. The recruiting class is of little importance at this point if Wade stays. If Wade is fired or leaves we lose Smart, Williams and Days. Taylor and Mays would be the only two I see staying.
Even if sanctions are handed out because of suspicion or "lack of institutional control" or whatever and the administration somehow grows a backbone to stick with Wade... It would not be nearly as bad as him being fired or leaving.

Recruiting would recover the year after if Wade is around. Plus at that point he'd have more experience in getting some "strong arse offers" made/delivered a little more covert like.. Lord knows the NCAA understands this ain't amateur sports, we just can't have it out in the open or their entire organization is a sham.

Make no mistake though.. if Wade is out the next 4 years or so will be much worse than Jones/Johnson years. At least it might lead to a new AD though.. Which would probably be worth it in the long term.

Go to the front page and listen to each player and try to make an informed opinion. Non of them indicated they are leaving. Of course none have made up their minds because it depends on if Wade is coming back, and if not, who would be his replacement. The new guy would have to recruit them again to convince them to stay.

Man does anyone else think Penny is recruiting just a little too well, especially outside of Memphis? Memphis remember is maybe the only school to have more than one Final Four Vacated.

I guess you don’t know how Crystal Balls work. The people making them are usually close to the situation and 90% right.

As things currently stand, LSU will not have sanctions placed against them by the NCAA. The NCAA has yet to state publicly that LSU is under investigation for violating NCAA rules. Everything that's been done to this LSU basketball team regarding investigations & punishments has been done by its very own administration, which blissfully ignores due process.

Even if they opened an investigation on LSU and Will Wade, they will need proof of wrongdoing instead of mere speculation which is all they currently have.

It's not very hard to comprehend but there's a few here who refuse to back the head coach and are only interested in pretending they know more than everyone else.

A competent AD would either fire him or reinstate him by now. Alleva is a white show, look how he handled the Miles firing.....Alleva is a bitch
