Mac Jones was a statue, so why can’t Brennan be one?

Brennan will be your starter. Packages for Daniels, Nuss second string should Brennan fail. Howard to redshirt.

If he even got touched. Bama's OL has never been called for holding.

You can have a statue QB if your Oline keeps him from having to move. Do you think LSU's Oline will do that?

Agree. The key is quick decision making with an arm.

Mac Jones played behind Alabama Offensive Line. Myles Brennan playing behind LSU OL. Not quite the same.

LSU OL should be "Better" in 2022, but "Better" doesn't mean "Great" and there's no evidence as of yet as to how much better they will be against SEC teams.

I think there will be a Hodson-Guidry like "2-QB System " with Brennan and Nussmeier, with some specialized package stuff for the Athletic QB That Can Run Fast QB.

The Center position is a concern until Dellinger or Martinez can get back on the field and take it. Best for the OL if Martinez is the Center and Dellinger is the RT.

nah, CBK already said he is not a fan of a 2 QB system. he tried it the year they played us in the Music city bowl and it wasn’t a great experience…

I want Daniels or Nuss to start just so you people will be wrong. The smug certainty is so obnoxious. Brennan can come in on the second play, but I hope a backup takes the first snap and CBK gives the camera the finger.

Because Brennan won't have one of the best offensive lines in the history of college football protecting him in front of empty stadiums where he can easily communicate with the offense.

Mack Jones moves very well in the pocket. He might be slow but he is very good at feeling pressure and flowing away from it

He also ran a 4.68 forty time, so he isn’t exactly slow

That is fair although Brennan ran a 4.84, the statue stuff is overblown. He’s not burrow in the pocket but I’d argue he escaped pressure at least as well as the guy that was touted as the more mobile in the competition last year in Max Johnson (low bar, I know)

You arse hats need to STFU with that statue shite.

Brennan ran for 3x's the yards in roughly the same starts in HS. He's not a running QB but with a decent line, planned keepers will work. He's the best passer by far at this point.

I don't think Brennan has very good pocket presence. Maybe it will get better with more experience. I though Mett was the same

You can count on one hand how many times Bama gets called for holding per season. So that’s a big part of it

It’s something like once every 5 games, could even be more. It’s ridiculous.

Mett’s pocket presence was awful. That’s why he was a total statue in the pocket who got hit all the time.
