This, I would believe. Had to nearly be helped off the field, he was so gassed.

He better be coming back round here in 2024. He was so out of shape this year and is finally getting back into shape. Hopefully he returns next year.

100% agree. I don’t think he fully trusted his knee and didn’t get into the kind of shape needed to be a dt in the sec.

Glad he plays for himself, and the name on his Chest, and not for fans.

Is that why it looks like he’s doing a slow jog pursuing the quarterback?

Yea, all the NIL deals and such don't help guys causes when they play poorly on the field. Its just a bad look, being in the spotlight then not playing up to standards

I hope you’re right but whenever I focus on him, he seems to be taking the day off.

I agree that he’s probably mocked as a late round pick right now.

But I’m still concerned he leaves.

He and Wingo may be the 2 biggest recruiting jobs BK needs to work on.

I know we’ve been down on Smith this year but it is t easy for a guy that nigh to bounce back from that injury.

With another offseason work and if he really dedicates himself to the position (sort of like Daniel’s did last offseason) he can earn his way back into the top of the first round. And it would help the defense next year incredibly

Most d-linemen don't really come into their own until their Jr year. There are exceptions to that and of course I would have liked to have seen more from him up to this point but it's too early write him off. He might be very good next year. Or he might not. But that book is still open.

Maybe he can? Do you trust this defensive staff with personnel decisions?

When you are one of the worst defenses in the nation you don’t get the benefit of the doubt that you are playing the best players.
