This game will actually give Kim some stuff to coach. We got outrebounded 47-43 with Tulane grabbing 24 offensive boards. We also missed 12 free throws, and only shot 61% for the game.

I was at the game. That was the most concerning thing to me. Their tallest player is 6-2, with about 3 others 6-0. The rest are all around 5-8. The one girl Hanna (?) had some nice Morrow-like rebounds & putbacks, but we never should've been out-rebounded as a team.

Tulane may have just gotten some lucky bounces. That does happen

LSU is good! My daughter (#23 Tulane) couldn’t make an outside shot. I didn’t make the game but my wife (no pics) was in attendance.

I had watched the Missouri-Tulane game before attending this one. Mabry is one of Tulane's better players.

I was at the game.

Tulane played very hard in quarters 2-3-4. Gota LOTS of long rebounds off missed 3-pointers.

After beating teams by 90 a 19 pt win seems close

LSU shell-shocked the hell out of them in the 1st quarter. Credit to Tulane for finally getting their bearings about them. They were on their way to a 60-point beatdown in their home gym, but they settled down and played a pretty good 3 quarters after that.

And I do think some of the offensive rebounding for Tulane had to do with long bounces off the rims on missed 3's that our guards couldn't get to.

Side note: I still cannot get over the fact that LSUWBB is playing THREE games in New Orleans this season. Tonight at Tulane, Dec 7 at UNO, and Dec 13 vs LA Tech in Smoothy King Center. Good for Kim.

Doesn’t it help their RPI (or whatever it’s called now)?

Also did Kim really say they don’t want to play Tulane again?

She is so damn fast. She is the x factor this year

The new center is a force to be reckoned with and a huge upgrade to last year. Won’t be pushed around by the other big girls.

That was in response to a question about the Tulane coach saying they'd like to play LSU every year. Kim said she is making a point to play all of the in-state schools at some point, so that probably wouldn't happen.

Why did she leave USCe? $$$? Lack of playing time$ Mr. Staley piss her off?

She hasn't really said. All she said was "needed a change", but I call BS on that because she was a hometown superstar in Columbia.

I think that, for whatever reason, Staley did not give her the respect she deserves and she was embarrassed about consistently not starting in front of her home town crowd. Staley always talked her up when she would dominate a game, but the very next game she would see <10 minutes.

She was my favorite (and most feared) player on USC. I couldn't believe it when we got her, still can't. Whatever happened, I am thankful!

Koval just 2 points and 2 Rebs in 17 minutes. That’s concerning looking ahead to SEC play. LSU was dominated on the offensive glass 24/12. Really wish they would get Yarnevich more PT. I feel like she will be needed in SEC play with rebounding. Had plenty of opportunities to get her more involved in this game yet only got 2 min.
