Glad hawaii isn't on the schedule. Kickoff would be set for midnight

I'm moving there in 3 weeks. I wish LSU would go out and play Hawaii cause that is the only way I will get to see a game at a normal time.

no...since they are just one timezone different than Baton Rouge...

And both started earlier than this game...especially the Arizona game.

We played both of those games in September. Arizona does not go to Daylight Savings time so it was 2 hours difference.

I'm buying it.
Take a look at the Cal vs. Maryland scores from this year and last.

While I agree there were more problems than just jet lag I think it had to be a factor. Your body can't adjust to two hours time difference in one day.
Keep in mind, these players are use to getting up very early in the morning to attend rehab, training, and team meetings so I would assume that most go to bed early as well.

Yep.

If that is the case, we are at least 4-0 in games that are two timezones from Baton Rouge.

Yes, indeed.
I hope that Jordy is wrong because it is great for those of us on the West Coast to see the Tigers. I'm particularly proud of the number of Tiger fans that made the trip to Seattle. Maybe they just need to have the game start earlier.

We played Arizona (2003) at 9 CST, and ASU (2005) at 8:15 CST.

Not saying you were wrong, but saying that we still played them earlier no matter their local time.

The only game that was comparable, Washington will prove to be a far better team than that one was IMHO.

Yep.
The problem may also be Jordy. When LM said we'd not be back to the West Coast I'd bet heavily he was talking about this year.

Thanks for posting that. I thought we played them later.

Were these fans jetlagged?

I think the defense's first half problems have more to do with not reall being able to see much film and not knowing what to expect. The second half, maybe they got tired. Who knows.

FWIW TN has scheduled a home and home w/ USC

Verbal Agreement

And has one scheduled w/ Oregoan before then.

This on the heals of the Cal series and the UCLA series that finishes up tomorrow.

I do agree though its a tough trip to make. UT got run by a good Cal team in '07 and laid an egg against a bad UCLA team in '08. However Call traveled to Knoxville in '06 with high expectation against the 5-7 Vols team. At one point TN lead 35-0.

Both West Coast games were night games. The game in Knoxville was a 3:30 (or 12:30 Pac time) kickoff, and we play UCLA at 4:00 (1:00 Pacific)

Funny how it works that way... you'll probably play UW at 11 AM next year.

I guess USC should just forfeit the game at OSU this weekend as they will obviously be too tired to play.

I would like to see LSU go to the west coast more often -- just not a 730 PT kickoff. I think that played a more substantial role than people think, sleep consultants or not.
