I watch a lot of women’s hoops at the college level and in my opinion UCLA is the best team in the country.

Hell, The usc Trojans lost to an unranked team yesterday and dropped only to 7 with 2 losses

These dumbass polls mean NOTHING. They have no bearing on post-season seeding. Why people keep getting in a tizzy over this is beyond me.

They also mean nothing because the seeds don't matter as long as you are Top 4.

4-seed or better and you host the 1st two rounds and are guaranteed to avoid the highest seeded SEC teams, which at this point are USCe, Texas, and Kentucky, until the Final 4.

Which is why CKM will continue to pad the non-conference schedule.

Record was never the only factor in rankings. It is a factor, but the rankings have always been subjective with opinions of the voters.

Finally, ND has wins over Southern Cal (#7) , Texas (#4), UConn (#5), North Carolina (#13), and Georgia Tech (#17).
__________

Pretty impressive resume for ND. They are #3. I am fine with us being anywhere from 4-8 with 6 being reasonable.

Agree, Uconn plays in a weak conference, they are the only team in their conference that's good enough to beat ranked teams. Top 5 in BE Conference: Uconn, Creighton, Seton Hall, Marquette, Nova.

It seems like there are about 5 teams that are contenders based on current odds. I’m sure it will all depend on how the bracket shapes up. SC the favorite UConn, USC, ND, & UCLA all about +500 Then Texas & LSU

And Texas is at +2000. LSU at +3000. That’s actually a pretty big gap of LSU vs everyone ahead of them according to Vegas. Which is interesting because while those teams could be better than LSU, I don’t think it’s by that much. We shall see

While I understand what the OP intent is about the disrespect, its basketball who cares as long as they get an invite to the dance. you have to beat everyone anyway

I completely agree. I went to the South Carolina vs UCLA game and it was NOT close. I DO believe if they play again it'll be a lot closer, but UCLA's depth and size was too much for SC. SC tried to overwhelm teams with their depth and defense. UCLA is JUST as deep but with more size coming off the bench. Defensively, the SC guards couldn't rattle UCLA's guards AT ALL. UCLA is the best team I've seen play in person this season, with Notre Dame in second.

She needs to realize how important it is to get a #1 seed. The sport is dominated every year by 4-5 teams. Avoiding those 4-5 teams in your bracket gets you to the Final 4. Scheduling those teams does you zero harm regardless of outcome.

I agree what youre saying but that was one of the first games of the year and South Carolina is light years better now than they were when they played. On a neutral court they would be favored over UCLA.

They've lost Watkins since that game. They might keep it a little closer but they'd lose imo.

We not only did not play any top OOC teams but we played some of the worst teams in the country.
We scheduled NC St, Stanford and Wash for OOC. Stanford and Wash haven't been top 25 as they normally are, but when scheduled, this was a decent OOC lineup. Also, our OOC SOS is 57, which is WAY better than last year in the 100s.

I think LSu is top 10 but #6 not necessarily based on their overall play.

Are you paying attention to the rest of the top 10's play?
