57 minute mark was the most underrated play of that game. LSU almost left that one slip away early.
1:06.30 mark is his HR.
1:13.50 mark is the tying HR by Witten.
1:26.20 mark is Cresse's winning hit.

Took my then 8 year old son to that one. Barber fouling off pitches then hitting the home run. Great catch by Ray Wright to pr vent a home run. Cresse with winning RBI. Great game.

I remember watching that game. We couldn't hit for shite against their pitchers, then all of a sudden in the last couple of innings it just clicked. Still remember the final run scoring and the helmet throw after the slide.

That’s the only World Series I’ve attended. Caught the FSU game and Stanford.
Ran into cresse a few years later when lsu played Arizona in Tucson. Had some drinks over discussing his winning hit.

Was sitting on top third base dugout prolly 10 rows up. They had a Stanford fan running up and down the stairs talking shite the entire game. It was so sweet to see his face after we won it

No problem man. I'll have the '96 Miami game coming in a few days too.

I was there. Great few innings. Not a great game. I almost fell asleep during 4 middle innings. The FSU game game was a great game. It seemed like we got out of a bases loaded jam every inning from the 6th-9th.

I was working in DC at the time with a couple of Stanford guys.
They gave me so much shite after the UL games being from Louisiana. I suggested we get together to watch the LSU game and they ran their mouths the entire game but I refused to talk shite.
I gave them the calmest thumbs up and said “one for the thumb” after the winning run. It still drives them crazy

Stanford eliminated ULL that year in the CWS, actually beat them twice.

Great catch by Ray Wright
IMHO this is one of the greatest moments in LSU BB history that seems to be forgotten.
The Warren Morris has to be #1 but the catch by Ray Wright is a close 2nd.
Again....IMHO

I watched this game with my grandfather and celebrated the win with him. He passed away three months later, Thanks for the memories and forever.
