I'm getting slammed for not liking a 11 am kickoff. Do people not like to have a few drinks in them before an LSU game?

not necessarily about drinking for me. but I like to save the best for last. IE watch football most of the day and have LSU to look forward to.

I don't understand why they put the only game featuring two ranked teams at 11. Seems dumb. Seems Big 10 esque.

is there a max number of 11 am games you can be slated for? have we had 2 in a season before?

No major airports near Columbia, could be another "take a stretching break" bus trip.

The airport for Columbia/Jefferson City is very small--so they may not be able to land there. To my knowledge, the next biggest airports are St. Louis or Kansas City, both about 2 hours away.

Yep, thats my plan too.

Bring out a couple of phone chargers and bluetooth radio and listen to most of the first half then decide at halftime if I want to go in for the second half at lunch or not

Man...was going to make this road trip but declined after I got asked to speak at a conference.... would be fuming if I had made the opposite decision.

On that vein I will never miss an opportunity to say frick making these decisions week to week. Put it out beginning of the season and let people plan accordingly

11 is great since you pretty much have all day and night to do whatever you want with your day and get to watch a game in the morning.

I've never gotten this logic...watching the game IS what I want to do with my day...not something I want to get over with.

And if I do wanna do something it's go fishing which by the time an 11 am kick is done most of the opportunity for that is gone

They are trying to create a space for that slot by giving it bigger games. But I agree it is dumb!!!

And it looks like they assume one of us might lose this week.

Yep, I posted in another thread about start times, but ESPN and Fox are definitely pushing the post GameDay/Big Noon Kickoff slots as "top tier" games. They know a lot of eyeballs are on those shows, and a lot of casual fans might just leave it on the channel if the game is a top 25 SEC matchup as opposed to Marshall - Kent State

I’m a fat frick now but when I was in college, I loved 11:00 am rugby matches. On Saturday nights, after the matches, both teams would come to our campus and drink and party.

With 11:00 games, LSU can get a W and fly home and have the weekends to settle down and relax and chill.

As a fan, it sucks because we live Saturday night games but on the road it’s cool.
