The players, fans don't care anymore about meaningless bowl games. We might as well just let the small schools play in them. Do you think South Carolina players are excited to go play in the Cheez-It bowl?

This is kind of disingenuous. CU beat them courtesy of a miracle Hail Mary. They beat 8-4 Texas Tech on the road (who beat both Big XII CG participants). Then they beat 8-4 TCU. Then finished the year blowing out a KU team who had just fricked up BYU's and Colorado's seasons.

The Sagarin ratings have the Big XII as the 2nd strongest conference this season, behind the SEC. While they aren't top heavy like the other leagues, they have more parity and depth. Most of the teams at the bottom of their standings were the preseason favorites.
Personally, I think it's the most entertaining conference in the country, and was even before expansion. The disrespect toward it is comical when ASU has better wins than Texas, Penn State, Boise State, and Indiana.
