What will be the best way to get tickets for the game, also has anyone have experience with Vanderbilt Stadium. I know this is a first time in a long time for LSU to travel to Nashville and I’m trying to plan for it.

Not sure about tickets but I was in Tigerband between 2002-2007 and they took is there for a full band trip one year. It was an LSU home game basically. Imagine an LSU atmosphere at a big Texas high school stadium...

The fact that the Vanderbilt game is the second most expensive SEC game on the schedule is a sign that ticket prices are too inflated. It’s insane how bad it’s gotten in just the last 5 years.

Have tickets ever been an issue at Vandy? Plenty will be available. It's just a question of whether you can sit in LSU's section as part of its allocation.

Last time we played there the best move was to buy the cheapest ticket available and pretty much sit where you want

Best idea for tickets....Buy Vandy Season Tickets.

They sell a season ticket in Sections H-N for $170 dollars. This is for 7 home games including LSU, UGA, UK and Missouri.

Use the LSU tickets and sell the rest. I do this when Auburn plays up there and usually make a few hundred back.

You can buy them in the LSU section directly from LSU.

I bought 2 on Vivid seats. Nice seats slightly less than stub hub and other sites.

You aren't really wrong... Although there are other places to pregame closer to the stadium. Demonbreun/Midtown pretty much touches Vandy's campus. Tin Roof, Dawg House, Live Oak... Also Winners/Losers/Red Door. I think a lot of LSU fans will actually enjoy Ainsworth (kinda new place is midtown). Much cheaper drinks at places i listed. Be prepared for $12-$15 mixed rinks and $7-$8 beers on Broadway. Tailgating is pretty small for Vandy games. We may have more fans tailgating than them.

Also, you can go onto the Vandy athletic dept website and buy tics cheaper than the allotment given to LSU. Beyond the game, there a an amazing number of fun things to do and it’s becoming quite the “foody” town in addition to it being “music city” with live music venues abound. After experiencing the tourist oriented Broadway St honky tonks, many now owned by Country celebrities. Check out 3rd & Lindsley as a cool live music venue for genres other than Country. Rudy’s in eastern edge of The Gulch has a cool live Jazz vibe. Want to feel a little bit like LA home? Head to the NO Blues & Boogie Bar In Printers Alley between 4th and Church St a couple of blocks north of Broadway. In the day, the Country Music Hall of Fame is pretty amazing actually. Hungry, The Southern has a cool vibe on 2nd St. Comsider an Airbnb as Hotels have become very expensiv with the cheapest downtown or west end near Vandy campus being over $300 a night. Want more ideas let me know.

Whistle really loudly for 2 straight hours aside of the stadium. They go nuts for it up there.

Was there at the last game. Plenty to do downtown. Several bars have live music. Plenty of places to tailgate around the stadium. Smaller stadium, but probably one of the better away venues we have been to.

This about sums it up. I was there last time we played in Nashville and we had more fans in the stands than they did. Just hang out on Lower Broadway Friday night and see the sights around that area. I don't think they allowed us to Tailgate close to the stadium before the game, but it doesn't matter. Broadway is so much fun, party there and Uber to the stadium. Tickets are easy to get and there's only one level, so every seat is a good seat.

Just FYI, the weekend of the LSU game is Family Weekend at Vanderbilt:

Vanderbilt Family Weekend

I'm not sure what effect this will have on game tickets, but it has definitely increased hotel rates for the places right around the University. Airfares seem pretty high for that weekend as well. On the plus side, there should be lots happening on and around campus.

It’s like going to a game at Memorial Stadium in North Baton Rouge. The stadium was terrible back in the day. There was no tailgating cause you couldnt have open containers outside. I love Nashville but that was the worst football experience I have ever been to

We were thinking of going to the Vandy game but decided against it.. One of the reasons is i’ve heard /read that Vandy’s stadium has only 4 bathrooms, 2 on each side of the stadium.. I’m not much of a drinker but my wife enjoys her drinks, so we figured we didnt want to spend half of the game in line for the bathroom.. also heard that the stadium and game experience in general at Vandy is shite .. so decided to not go, and maybe head to Nashville for the Saints/Titans game in December instead.
