Of course the LSU guy did, he’s the LSU guy.

Why is the LSU guy gonna do a 1200 word writeup on the attrition that Miami or Mississippi state has had the last 4 recruiting cycles?

meant left early for whatever reason, not just the draft. Compare LSU and Bama's transfers the past 4 years. We've lost a lot of 5/4 star players to that. But you know this, you just refuse to leave it out.

So has Bama:

I like this game. It's fun. Want to keep playing?

Our expectations are what you said. Mine is 10-2. I don't know the attrition rate at other schools but lsu's appears high.

Good post. Yes, anything less than 10-2 is a failure. That was the standard to which Les was held, so it should be the same for O.

shite post. So when Saban leaves, gumps should continue to expect 12-0 every year?

Can you people get any dumber?!?

Lol. Bama has a little more room to lose a few.

What's your agenda?

These ranking have a lot of variables, including attrition and injury.

If you went strictly by ranking average, Clemson wouldn't have had a chance. It isn't black and white like you are trying to make it.

So, you disagree there is nothing more to rankings? There are no variables? A yes or no answer please.

Was Les held to that? I may be wrong, but I didn't think Les did that in 2013, 2014, 2015, and wouldn't have happened in 16'.

I think LSU had the 6th best roster in 2017, taking player attrition into account.

You people acting like LSU's roster was gutted last year, and carrying that bullshite excuse over to 2018 have no leg to stand on.

Once again, an LSU coach has lost more than 3 regular season games only three times since 2001:

2002
2008
2014

All three of those teams had disasters at QB and mediocre to bad defenses by LSU standards.

There is absolutely no reason that this loaded defense and a 4th year QB that has trained under Urban Meyer for three years should be added to that awful list.

10-2 would be a success and 9-3 would be the same mediocrity we’ve been dealing with since 2013. Anything less would be a complete disaster.

If our current HC makes this three years straight without securing a 10 win season or NY6 Bowl (lost the Sugar Bowl bid to UF in 2016, then 2017, and 18) Alleva (or hopefully our new AD) should be looking for a new HC in November, the same way he was in 2015 when our NC winning coach finished his third consecutive year without winning 10 or making a NY6 Bowl.

You just repeated the same damn thing the op had. It didn't factor all the attrition and the key effect.

Didn't figure you would answer the question. Goes against your agenda, and you know everyone would call you out if you gave anything but the rational answer.

Bash on dude.

Wrong.

Now factor in the kids who left early for the draft and transfers. You'll see much different results.

Done.

247 Composite Roster Talent

Spoiler alert, even considering transfers and early departures, LSU had the 6th most talented team in the country last year and only behind Bama and UGA in the SEC. Now, I know we had a subpar 2018 recruiting class, but I anticipate the 2018 composite roster rankings will look similar when they are released.

Your move.....

Composite Recruiting Rankings for the last four years

That is the most important factor that impacts the the season record of a team if the rankings reflected true talent level of teams.

24/7 Team Talent Composite

Not updated for 2018 recruiting class, but gives you a good idea of how teams are ranked based on recruiting talent

He was fired if I’m not mistaken, so yes. It isn’t that a year with under 10 wins is unacceptable and grounds for immediate termination. The point is that the amount of people who all of a sudden prop up 8-9 wins as some kind of big step forward, or major progress, is disgusting.

In a mere 200 posts you've proven yourself to be one of the least informed posters on this site, and done so consistently.

Quite the achievement.

Uhh, I may be wrong, but I could have sworn that he was fired??

I mean, I know he still gets blamed when we lose, but he actually was very clearly held to that standard

Unfortunately, I don’t have anything to link, but Tom Lugenbill was speaking about attrition, transfers, etc and he said the average class has less than 45% of its recruits finish eligibility at the school they signed with.

ETA- this is yet another very talented LSU team. We should be favored in all games but 2.

Educate myself? You sound like an 18 year old.

As I said, you wouldn't answer the question.

I also wonder how much credit to that score was given with key. Lol. Key was terrible, guice was injured. Our 2 best players. Lawrence out often, Alexander suspended...

Seriously, what is your agenda on here? Talk trash, bash O?

I've said it before, if you are a complete negatiger and douche, you have plenty of ammunition to bash 24/7. If you are a rational, intelligent, decent person not looking to get his kicks by bashing on a message board, there is plenty of ammunition to support 9-3. It comes down to whether you are a troll, or whether you are a negative or positive person in life. While you negative jackasses think bashing makes you somebody, sadly, in probably 95% of the cases it makes you a loser in life. In fact, for some of you, THIS is your life. Sad
