Sagarin Ratings looks very squirrely. The published data in the chart all favors OSU, but, based upon something which we can't see, Bama gets the points. It just doesn't even look legit.

So OKST will have to be #2 in the Harris?
Not quite. I just did the calculations.
OSU has to be within 5 points of Bama.
For example if Bama gets 2799 points OSU would need 2794 (That would be everyone putting OSU and Bama in top 3)

Bama can breathe easy now. It looks as though okie state will get the 25% most thought it needed by the humans, but the computers suddenly changed in favor of alabama. For whatever reason, sagarin and wolfe refuse to provide the push that a quality win over an oklahoma normally gives.

A couple questions from the road....
Is the need for OSU to be 5 points ahead in the Harris based on Wolfe having Alabama at 2 or OSU?
How much ground did OSU make up in the AP and was the gap last week similar to the gap in the Harris?

Are you going by the twitter update for Wolfe or has that be verified by other sources?

Looks like Stanford did okie st in. Oh well, bring on bama. Meltdown will be more epic with little Nicky losing three times in a row and 3 times in 12 months to lsu and Les. Can't wait for finebaum show on January 10. "pawwwlll we need to fire that dadgum saban and hire Les miles. Saban can go back to baton rouge with the rest of the corndogs!"

@jppalm: based on current computer projections (OSU 2 in 4 of 6), OSU must now pass Bama in Harris poll by 5 points to be #2 overall.

I'd like to know how any computer ranks Bama ahead of OSU? don't care about the leak.........without eyes this was suppose to be it's saving grace; shear #s.

Thought it was andy staples that broke that news.

No, he assumes Bama gets Wolfe and then OSU would need to be ahead in Harris. If OSU gets Wolfe they only need 25% of the vote.

It was. Who is Andy Staples and why does he have access to Peter Wolfe's computer?
