Will LSU upset Bama?

Bama -1 in vegas
Pick'em according to Vegas

Betonline has it as a pick. I would have thought LSU would be favored in Louisiana. Vegas must be impressed with Alabama. I'm surprised at that line.
but LSU should be honored to have the chance to share a field with the great alabama crimson tide again. The greatest football team that ever graced ESPN television.
ESPN Talking heads "eyeball test"

Bama passes ESPN's talking heads's eyeball test. Are these the same eyeballs that said Ohio State would crush Florida (06') Oklahoma's offense couldnt be stopped (08') Bama would beat LSU (11'), Oregon would put 50 on AU (10')
quote:That game was on CBS, not cable tv ESPN. Also, this is a rematch of a game that people already watched. And, the first game was a very rare 1. vs. 2. regular season matchup. I think the ratings for this one might be among the lowest in BCS championship history.
Regular season game was 18 million homes. Near number for BCS championship games. Largest CBS regular season games in years. Game of the Century II--after month of ESPN hype and TD debate will be huge.
Sorry, but AL vs. LSU is a regional matchup and that does not have popular appeal. The ratings will be high in the Southeast, and very low across the rest of the US.
Edwards "Projects"....how can this clown call it a projection when ESPN has given him the harris votes and the computer results so he can do the BCS countdown show tonight? Easy to be a guru when you can the results before everyone else and then can "project" them to the public.

If reports of Bama No. 2 in Wolfe are false, then OKST just needs to get a little closer pct-wise in the Harris than it was in the coaches'
Could Andy Staples have bad information?

BCS National..I mean SEC Championship?
Posted by bcsman on 12/4/11 at 12:42 pm
There is a reason we have an SEC championship, to determine the best team in the SEC. The BCS Championship is to determine the National Champion. Give Okie State the shot. Bama should not be allowed 2 chances before anyone else gets a try.
LSUMATT, I'm basing that off Andy Staples from Twitter. He said he got an email that sends the computer ranking to conferences. It really comes down to whether andy staples has the real computer rankings or not. It's weird that he would have them before even brad edwards would. Edwards works for ESPN, which is contractually tied to the BCS vs Staples for CNNSI which has no ties.
Bama can breathe easy now. It looks as though okie state will get the 25% most thought it needed by the humans, but the computers suddenly changed in favor of alabama. For whatever reason, sagarin and wolfe refuse to provide the push that a quality win over an oklahoma normally gives.
Massey:
Bama: 2.494
Okie: 2.468
That should be easy enough.
Peter Wolfe will be closest IMO but not entirely sure. Tomorrow will be interesting.

Sagarin and Wolfe are Bama's strongest computers, and Tide is still No. 2 in Sagarin. If Wolfe also has Tide 2nd, that's a huge deal.
Brad edwards just tweeted and he is more interested in wolfe. However, Wolfe usually gives a good push and okie only needs about .3 to overtake them.

Massey's ranking didnt concern me because I thought it could be dropped as the lowest. Now okie state needs it to have the .96-.92 edge. Otherwise its only .95-.93. I still think okie state gets massey and wolfe but the computers are looking far closer than I thought. The sagarin rankings were just criminal.
This is all you need
BCS Computers
It comes down to Peter Wolfe and Kenneth Massey. Billingsley is not listed on the page but okie state is guaranteed #2 in that one. These computers are not audited by anyone so could be some hankie pankie going on with the formula tonight. Sagarin was the screw job of the century.

I see the cached numbers changed, but thats not possible. Okie state went 6-1 vs his top 30 and bama went 2-1. Okie state plated the #6 schedule and bama played the #23 schedule. The numbers dont make sense.
Sagarin:
Vs. Top 30
Okie State: 6-1
Bama: 2-1
No way that elo chess number is right. Okie state with wins over Sagarin's #5, #6, #7, #13, #16, #29 teams.

The sagarin ranking of elo chess did not update for oklaloma state. I know I looked at it earlier tonight and it was at 97 then too. Either that or Sagarin did some screwy shyt with his formula tonight. I've never seen a 97 elo chess stay at 97 after beating the computers #6 team.
The rating for okie state looks the same, but all the other teams that played there numbers changed. Alabama/ESPN fraud?
Edwards: 60% chance of bama, down from 95%

Alabama Grad sweating it. 45 of 174 voters have to put okie state #2 and the rest a unanimous #3.

Will big 12 coaches be united in defiance of ESPN and alabama?
