Well what other reason would there be for moving the game time?

Logistics
Availability of security resources
Additional time to ready a different location
Concessions availability and delivery
Field repair schedule changes
TV crew setup in different location
Travel time for teams and equipment

There are a lot of factors that actually play in.

If they refuse to move it our boys better not be flying there Friday in that crap. If they're cancelling school, they need to move the game. I don't give a shite to where ... just somewhere out of that cone for sure.

This is ridiculous. I understand that it may not affect Gainesville but damn if it does happen to I'd hate UF more than I already do for their ineptness.

You have to get there first.

And it isn't like Sunday is a work day

Almost everyone I know won't be willing to come in from Nola or Houston for an 11 am game.

With about the same amount of notice, possibly, with perfect weather & playing the hated OBC, LSU was lucky to have 40K in TS last yr. As is the case of every road game, weddings are planned a yr in advance to take advantage of LSU playing on the road. Absent that issue, no morning game will draw the same amount of crowd that an afternoon game would. But with the students being off campus, TS would not present that much of a home field advantage. Especially in the 2nd half when half of a small crowd would still be in their seats.

TV is the only reason

You think they care about addendance? TV wants ratings. That's it.

With a massive hurricane imminent, attendance at a football game shouldn't be at the top of the list

So when Florida refuses to move the game and they wake up Saturday morning and realize there is no way they could safely play the game in Gainsville that morning is Florida going to forfeit? UF officials seem to have a really hard head with all of this.

College buddy of mine's son goes to UF (TIGER BAIT). They are cancelling school and evacuating the on campus housing. UF AD is so fricking dumb.

1. They have insurance for just such an issue.

2. The time of the game won't really impact attendance if it is in TS. The stadium will be mostly empty, concessions will be limited, etc. 11am, 2:30pm, and 6:30pm will all likely be about the same. With 6:30pm probably being the highest IMO (although a case could be made for 2:30).

This is a make or break game for them. Plus its their biggest recruiting weekend of the season. They are hoping TN loses the next two weeks against A&M and Bama and puts them back into the SECE race. They want to play this game in Gainsville no matter what.

I didn't say it was at the top of the list. He said it wasn't a factor at all

If they put out a mandatory evacuation order, i believe "no matter what" becomes a moot point.
