IF LSU drops this game for whatever reason, you can bet your arse that we will see multiple, ignorant threads saying shite like ‘oh man well if lsu wasn’t so worried about a tiger in the stadium……. Blah blah blah’ You know it’s coming.

I’d have to see it to believe it.

He’s abused? You know that tigers in captivity live 5-10 years longer, than in the wild and are typically in much better health?

But here we are....not talking about the point of the thread, just talking about how mean I am. I guess the argument was just no longer worth making so you had to shift to another lane in an effort to make some headway.

Like i said, some of your arguments are valid. Most of your delivery is terrible. The only point I ever made is that if tigers have feelings like dogs (because that was the example given), then why are we dismissing the dogs who are paraded around loud stadiums? Your response: If you don't know the difference between a dog on a leash and a tiger in a cage then I can't help you. Well, Mr. Smartypants you didn't even address the point I was making which is: Why is a dog's feelings less important than a tiger? You just keep changing the argument points in hopes that everyone will agree with you because clearly, based on your tone, you consider yourself the smartest guy in the room.

Bottom line, if I wanted to be insulting I wouldn't even engage in the argument

Bottom line, you don't even have to try to be a prick because apparently it just comes naturally.

And what exactly is the point you are trying to get across, other than you're smarter than everyone else? You never even gave me a valid argument, Just told me that im dumb and you can't help me.

If taken care of properly, sure. This dude has been cited numerous for NOT taking care of his animals….

He just recently lost a lion cub to Metabolic bone disease, which is a direct result from poor diet

Think about it for a second

No seriously, take a step back and look at what you two are arguing about…. It’s beyond pathetic.

The internet has completely ruined some of y'all

You’re arguing about the ‘feelings’ of tigers and dogs.

Pathetic

To say they don't have feelings and insinuate they're just 'dumb' isn't true.

In fairness, Metaloctopup is pretty clearly a dumb animal

There are several different threads on The Rant discussing this very issue. People have lost their damn minds thinking that bringing a live tiger into Tiger Stadium (which has been done successfully and without incident for decades) is somehow abusive and detrimental to it's health all the while dismissing the hundred other live mascots currently being brought into other stadiums across the country.

Propaganda works and this is a perfect example. In reality “that magnificent animal will eat you with a smile on its face”

I'll humor you. Other than dogs being domesticated for thousands of years, I don't think my dog would enjoy being in that stadium with all he craziness. I love my dog and would not bring my dog into the stadium.

Now, to the bigger point, nobody is suggesting we paint a dog up as a tiger and run it out onto the field, so it's a completely irrelevant argument. I don't think they should be running Uga out onto the field, but that's for the Georgia community to resolve. As an LSU fan and alum, I object to bringing a tiger onto the field to be yelled at.

Do you object to other animals being brought on fields and being yelled at?

Also, as an LSU fan and alum, I wholeheartedly support bringing this tradition back.

I had a whole paragraph here about how sad this continued whining is. I deleted it and will move on. You should too.

You took a lot of commentary and suggested that bringing a tiger into the stadium should be comparable to bringing a dog into the stadium. The comparison was (and is) foolish. It's a weird comparison that doesn't make sense. It doesn't further the conversation, which was about whether or not we should listen to people that know what they are talking about with respect to the issues a tiger could experience, and that devolved into a discussion about whether or not animals have feelings (which is what I was talking about).

To your point, I don't think the feelings of dogs or tigers should be treated any differently. But I think that tigers and dogs are likely different in terms of their responses to their environments. This is a political stunt and is a distraction. I've been engaging with people who are acting as if we should do this because basically "animals are stupid and their feelings don't matter" and because it'll be awesome and Jeff Landry is a true patriot and Tiger fan (NOTE: I am not saying you said these things.....)
