Total defensive snaps by Thomas Dunson without getting any grass stains or dirt on his jersey.

My most vivid memory of the Pistol was a game where he picked off an inbound pass just short of the half court line. The rest of the team were already in defensive positions, so it was Pete against two defenders. He literally faked the first guy off his feet at the top of the key. He blew by the the second guy for easy lay up. The crowd went nuts!

That's why you have an asterisk applied to Pete's freshman scoring record. It represents the record for points scored as a freshman, BUT, not the freshman point record for those who competed against varsity competition. In essence, LSU has TWO records, one in each category. Pete probably would have the record anyway even if he had played under the same rules as Chris Jackson. Remember too that Pete did not benefit from the three point shot as did Jackson.

Coach Johnny Jones 14 game loss streak in baseketball for starters, and only going to get worse.

That's happened twice, at least, for LSU teams.

1994 vs. the Aggies: Tigers lost the toss and somehow had to kick-off both halfs. I think A&M deferred and LSU chose to kick rather than receive

2002 vs. Miss. State: Same situation as above. LSU kicked off both halfs.

He got a quick mention on Sports Center this morning. There's a female at Washington that is about 250 points away from his record. She scored 57 yesterday.
