I think the hitting coach gets to take that credit, not Beth
Ahh ok. 100% of the blame. 0% of the credit. What a take from someone who claims to be a former coach. Knew you would for certain show up in this thread, but you were strangely absent yesterday.

I disagree. Really think the SEC as a whole is on another level this year.

Good Luck in the NCAA’s. I do not see this team getting past the supers

The hitters have been non competitive.. I will repeat again, worse roster in Torina’s tenure
They were 3rd in conference play in BA and runs scored. That’s actually the best they have finished in years. The problem has been inconsistent pitching more than it has been hitting. They scored less than 3 runs in only 3 of their 12 conference losses. Half of the losses came in games they scored 5+. They just went up against the second best pitcher in the SEC today.

They could. Should win a regional...probably be a 9 or 10 seed so will be playing a 7 or 8 seed in supers. It won't be OU or Texas...

The umpire squeezed Berzon in the first inning, Bergeron let a ball get by her to put a runner in scoring position, and an OU batter got ahold of one pitch. It’s not like LSU got dominated. OU is better than anyone LSU will see in regionals or supers. The pitching the last two days actually is a hopeful sign. I still worry if they’ll have enough consistency to make it to the WCWS, but they have the pieces to do it.

At no moment during that game was there any indication that LSU would win. Just a different (lower) level of play - but then almost all of the SEC is right there with them.

OU in May is on another level. They are young but they now have 50 games under their belt.
Id be shocked if they dont win their 5th in a row.

Who made you the judge of the softball posts?
I post when I want to post, not "when a team is winning" or "when a team is losing".
Again, you laugh at my career, but you haven't said anything about what you do for a living.
Do you bet on these softball games? Seems like you get angry when they lose then try to find people on the internet who has something negative to say about the Coach and try to get them to be as angry as you are.
Did you even go to LSU? What years?

I think it’s going to be beneficial Berzon gets some extra time to rest. With the top of the conference being so crowded I’m not even sure they’d give us a national seed winning the conference tournament. Not because of merit but to let other conferences have a few national seeds

He’s got a point. He consistently posts in threads with his usual terrible takes.
This team has 18 wins against top 25 teams and this is her “worst team ever”. I don’t even understand the point of exaggerating to this extent.

I didn’t say worse team, I said worse roster and it is. Do you think Hodge is better player than Pleasants? Newland ? Gueterriz? Briggs? And before them World Series teams…this is 100% the least talented roster

and this is turning into a "big girls" game. Other than Edwards, who else fills that bill on this team. We don't hit enough homers. Oklahoma clinched that game today with a 2 run HR. Lot different having to play for 4 runs late in a game than 1 or 2.

I apologize in advance if this was not directed at me.
I never posted that this is her "worst team ever". I will ask you or anyone else in this thread, "Who on this team scares you as an opposing Pitcher?"
My Answer: One person, Tori Edwards.
The other girls have done a great job getting singles and doubles every once in a while. I credit that to the hitting coach.
However, we basically have to get at least 3 hits to score a run in an inning, while other teams get a walk and one swing they score 2 runs.
Pitching has been very "On and Off". Who is the pitching coach.
That's why I blame Beth and just for the fact that I don't think she can win a National Championship.
Nothing personal.

This least talented roster has scored the 3rd most runs in school history and if the season ended today it would have the highest batting average in school history. What more do you want?

Well, I hope the hitting coach stays around longer. I think he is going to get picked up by another school for more money. Also, Edwards, and this is just my fear, is going to leave for greener NIL pastures. She is going to get some offers

I agree with you, but some people just look at the record and make terrible assumptions.
Remember when we were ranked 2 in the country after the Non-conference schedule? "Experts" looked at our record and ranked us that high.
I still think we win a regional, but we will have to play a Non-Sec team in the Supers to have a chance to go to the WS.
Still, not a bad season. If you would have told me 13 - 13 in the SEC at the beginning of the year, I would have taken that in a heartbeat.
That is what Beth brings you. Regional win and lose in Supers. If that's Ok with Scott, she will be here forever. If he decides he wants something more, he will find someone else.

LSU has a top 10 budget in college softball. And Torina's teams do not have a history of starters transferring. I keep reading this speculation and fear of starters transferring with nothing to back it other than wanting Torina to leave.

That tells you how poor the hitting instruction was, do you believe any player on this team is as good as Jayquish, Landry, Bell, Andrew’s?? The hitting guy did an incredible job

I mean, Oklahoma recruited Hodge. I think it's fine to trust their scouting over a tigerdroppings poster.
the logic behind one of the best hitting teams in school history and highly touted pitching staff being evidence of a poorly constructed roster is a really...umm...interesting take there.
