Take Koetters QBs at ASU and compare them to Ensmingers it’s not even close. Plus he’s coached Pro-Bowl QBs in the NFL but yea we are good whitch what we’ve got lol

The man has been an “NFL” coach for over a decade, he’s been a Head Coach in the NFL but he can’t coach? Listen to yourself lol 0 likely couldn’t win a game in the NFL but you’re gonna knock a guy who developed winning and pro bowl QBs. Like I said you don’t know what you’re taking about and you don’t know football.

Being better than Ensminger ain't an accomplishment.

Matt Ryan was and is good without him and became an MVP after he left. Improving Jameis was all Koetter was hired for and he 100% failed.

But the idea in the OP is dumb anyway because there's no way he goes from NFL head coach to Ed O's assistant.

So you don’t want someone better than Ensminger? Ok my mistake I thought you were an LSU fan.

You don't think LSU or O want to win? Would you say that to Coach O's face? How about tell that to Devin White or Rashard Lawrence's faces? If you did you will get your wish as he will be fired before he could even pay your lawsuit and the cosmetic surgery needed. Lawrence will get kicked off team and DW shamed even before the draft. You want that?

No one is available because the position is not open. Sane, rational people know that in most cases Coach E would get another year at most programs. If by end of 2019 we are stuck in neutral on offense with no noticeable improvement and end up scoring less than 10 or God forbid another O fer vs. Bama then we can have a consensus that it is time to move on.

Lol my god the stupidity in that post. Did I say 0 didn’t want to win or any of the players? I’m taking about the administration, the decision makers, stop thinking like an insect.

Cam was here for 3 seasons and 4 games and in 2013 engineered not only one of LSUs best offenses but a historic SEC offense. So yea I’d take him over Ensminger and your comparison is shallow and empty, just because 1 out of the hundreds of ex NFL OCs didn’t meet your standards every one of them suck? Lmao also if you cared to pay attention you’d know that Miles neutered Cameron’s offense in the first place but to suggest that Steve Ensminger is more qualified or more proven than not 1 but 2 successful NFL OCs is utter lunacy.

I hear you and I’m not this big Dirk Koetter fan but having an NFL guy who understands high level concepts and how the quarterback position needs to be played in today’s game is a must. Basically the point being a lower half NFL OC is better than what we have and better than most college OCs. Look at guys like Sark and Chip Kelly, incredible college offensive guys who aren’t very good NFL OCs. It’s just a different level of coaching and if you are able to get one you do it.

Not sure if having experience in the NFL is a prerequisite, granted it couldn't hurt. However, just because someone has experience in the NFL, doesn't automatically make that person to have success at the collegiate level.

Like the earlier poster said, see Cam Cameron. The guy has a Super Bowl ring from when he was with the Ravens.

Not trying to rip on Cregg, but he has a ring as well and the OL was a liability this season.

Basically, I think we need a better OC, not a shot at Ensminger at all, but for me personally, your suggestion is a big no.

Thing is he did coach on the college level before and his offenses were very good. 420.5 yards per game over 6 seasons with a high of 519.1 ypg at Arizona State. We averaged 389 yards per game this season, that’s a huge difference and since he returned to the NFL in 07 every QB he’s coached has made the Pro-Bowl, (Gerrard 09) (Ryan 2012, 2014) and (Winston 2015). There aren’t many NFL OCs who come to college and don’t do well, even Cam, everyone’s favorite scapegoat, ran a historic offense here and all but the Jennings led offense outgained what we have now by 48 yards per game.

Just show up at the football offices and tell them to put you in the press box with your madden game and let YOU call the plays, a-hole.
