And so even with what had appeared to be a dysfunctional quarterback situation, we were reminded Saturday that LSU can never be counted out of the race to play the USC Trojans in Miami on Jan. 8.

Beat them up for a half. Knock their starting quarterback out of the game. Take the lead away from them in the fourth quarter. Auburn did all of that Saturday, and still, LSU came through with the kind of late-game magic that is quite simply the way they play the game.

It could very well happen but it is only September, isn't it a little early to go this far out on a limb.

Georgia has the superior offense (and defense?). The Bulldogs were awesome in the way they dismantled Arizona State on the road Saturday.

Florida has the superior overall offensive speed. The Gators looked sensational in destroying Tennessee on the road Saturday.

if USC doesn't moon walk to the NC this year they have a serious problem. Geez thats an awful schedule

congrats on going to OSU, but that doesn't make up for your pathetic conference slate.

It was 14-3 Auburn, and LSU's offense did not include completed forward passes

Was this really the case? The second half must have erased my memory of how awful the first half was. I'm going to have to watch it again.

I could not agree more. Scott is amazing and it looks like it will take another week for him to begin to get weekly recognition. I thought it would have happened after his production against Auburn, but...
