But they've not done anything with Pearl yet

How dull is the university?
If he says he didn’t do anything and it comes out in released tapes later that he did, he cuts his own throat. If nothing more comes out he’s clear. Why self incriminate? It makes no sense to make him lie.

LSU fricked this up so much.
It's crazy that they convicted Wade in the court of public opinion, cementing the end of his time at LSU.
They can't afford having it to come out that he is innocent now. They'd all look like idiots. They are pot committed to him being found guilty.
All this during a time where we have a legit chance at a national title.
What absolute, incompetent morons.
I loathe them all.

o you are going to tell me , Mr. Skinner is that all Will Wade has to do is to issue a statement and say "I've done nothing wrong" and the LSU Admins will reinstate him . Please. If you believe that, "ive got some ocean front property in Arizona, and will throw in the Golden Gate Bridge for free." Thanks George Strait.
I mean, probably

All LSU had to do was wait the news cycle out.
This is as bad as it gets.
Yep....instead our leadership pissed all over itself.

Why publicly deny wrongdoing when the NCAA hasn't come out and said they think he's done something wrong?
The press doesn't count, they do not have police power or enforcement power/responsibility.
LSU has implied by demanding a denial... but implied doesn't cut it.

Pearl isnt involved in the investigation at all. His assistant was, who was arrested and fired.

The alternative to let it play out like Auburn was the obvious correct move our clowns didn't make. Now you're going against your own coach in a media circus...an absolute frenzy
Exactly. When they suspended Wade, they invited more scrutiny on the program, it was coming anyway, but they made it worse by giving a very public showing that there is credence to the allegations of wrongdoing.

What is it? What allegations have been made by the NCAA?

It’s so disappointing yet totally expected.

We may be witnessing the beginning of the downward spiral of LSU athletics.

What if they, as an organization, are at the heart of or at least a central player, in what is being investigated?
Highly unlikely. Commissioners, both publicly and privately, have made it abundantly clear the NCAA won’t act until the trials are over. Essentially delaying the inevitable

None of the baws here seem to be able or want to answer this question.

we may have the worst PR in America. Just when you think we couldn't look any worse, someone says "hold my beer."

If Will leaves LSU, where will he go? Professional coaching ranks? I agree that LSU is a hot mess, but I cannot imagine that ANY college administrative boards would approve his hire right now. Maybe he has enough money to be set for life and not have to work or could go to Europe...but I can't imagine that he is a hot commodity right now.
