NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - LSU will open their 2022 regular season as a favorite when they take on Florida State in the Caesars Superdome. The Tigers were installed as a 3.5-point favorite over the Seminoles according to Caesars Sportsbook.

The Sept. 4 game in New Orleans will mark the beginning of the Brian Kelly era.

LSU finished last season with a 6-7 record. It was Ed Orgeron’s final season as the head coach of the Tigers.

The Seminoles finished last season with a 5-7 record. The matchup with LSU will be Florida State’s second game of the season. Mike Norvell’s team opens with Duquesne the week before.

For the first time in a long time I actually feel like, at the very least, an LSU football team isn't going to look confused and out of position in a season opener. Under Les and O we'd have multiple situations in season openers where the staff cost the team a timeout or we'd have 1/2 of the defense in the wrong play. Or you'd see 2 guys on the OL out of position. A running back missing his blocking assignment, etc.

It’ll move and settle around -6.5 I’d guess

Didn’t Notre Dame go to OT with Florida St last year and only win by 3?

Yep we will be prepared and we will run an offense that moves the ball and we will pressure their QB on the other side the ball

Why are already making favorite by so many points 4 months before the season starts. Must be hard up for news.

Jesus. I need to get to vegas so I can pound that line. When was the last time FSU was even competitive??

I fail to see how LSU doesn’t at least win this by at least 10
