I’m sure all the old people here don’t want the basketball man on a football jersey but Jordan is literally the same thing as Nike. It’s just the Jordan logo instead of the Nike logo. Nothing else changes.

Plus any Jordan turned into a cleat as well as access to any Jordan shoe, which kids get excited about and honestly makes a difference in recruiting.

UCLA get's 18 million a year from under armour

UCLA dumped UA for Jordan 2 or 3 years ago.

Adidas has by far the worst the unis. They never look like they fit right, and they have had some ghastly looking templates over the years. FWIW, their biggest football schools these days are probably Nebraska, Miami, and A&M. Bleh.

The only school that takes genuine pride in the Jordan brand is UNC for obvious reasons.

Michigan embraces it too. Look at the amount of shoes their players get access to yearly.

Jumpman on football unis looks ridiculous imo. And go to hell carolina!

As an NC St fan, our Adidas unis have been hit or miss but I prefer the Adidas fan gear to the Nike LSU stuff. For LSU I dont have any Nike branded gear except t-shirts. I dont like Nike brand but unfortunately, their unis are more consistently well designed. I'd be afraid Adidas would get too creative and disrupt our traditional look.

Maybe we can be the first school to sign a deal w Umbro, jk.

Michigan is also a big basketball school. It's not just for their football program.

They are identical to Nike game day polos with a Jordan logo instead of a swoosh

Yeah, not sure if Jordan brand want to be associated w LSU Mens BBall. Womens maybe.

Sadly, Shaq brand would be a better fit at this point.

Great for going to a game for UNC or Chicago but looks silly on football gamedays for a school with no link to Jordan.

Kids aren't choosing any school over LSU because they wear a different brand shoe.

I’ve not paid attention to brands in college sports. Anyone want to educate me on how important this is? Not a ‘no one cares’ question, just curious about what the difference truly is regarding: -Dollars -contracts -On field results/performance -Off field perception

Obviously the contract is the most important but recruits 100% care about what brand all merch is under. Nike is usually the favorite.
