Obviously night games are preferred. But 2:30 in late October often brings great fall weather (to the extent south Louisiana has a "fall").

Very early temperature forecast...(subject to change 12 days out)

High 77-ish during pre-game

Dropping into the upper 60s by the end of the game (6:30 PM because CBS games are almost 4 hours long)

Sunset is at 6:26 PM in BR on October 22nd.

Really thought CBS wanted the Moo State vs Bama matchup.

I think they would have but 1) it would have meant 4 wks in a row on CBS for Bama and 2) they only get 5 appearances. Might want to stay flexible as Bama still has Ole Miss, LSU and Auburn remaining.

Beautiful football weather if it's sunny.

2:30 CBS had undefeated Georgia last week, has undefeated Tennessee and Alabama this week and wanted to get undefeated Ole Miss next week.

I'm surprised CBS didn't use a 6 day to first see if LSU beats Florida and if Mississippi State beats Kentucky. CBS doesn't get to broadcast Mississippi State very often. 6-1 Mississippi State going to Tuscaloosa would be a great game. Would have gotten LSU/Ole Miss at night.

I don’t think they can pick Bama that many times in a row

Any game with a pulse is during the daytime. So much for Saturday night at Tiger Stadium ...

What is the name of the CBS sports executive that gets to pick the sec game of the week on CBS? Does this person have any affiliation with Alabama? State at Bama is the SEC game of the week. But they get a 6pm ESPN night game. I know CBS can only show one team 5 times in a season unless given permission by the SEC. But they have two more potential games with bama. It's not SEC brand of the week game. It's the game of the week that has the potential to be the most competitive based on how the season is unfolding. And it doesn't matter who CBS shows they are still making bank.

2:30 kickoff is just as bad as 11:00 kickoff. Now another 20,000 fans can sell their tickets to Ole Miss fans because they do not want to sit in an oven all day.So the way it looks the Miss St game will have been the only sec game that was played
this year where the fans can have a true tailgating experience and then enjoy the game with a really cranked up crowd.

So all our away games are at night so far but home in the day.

LSU fans love a night game...for two quarters. Then they head out because the kids are tired after tailgating all day, or the traffic is bad, or they have work the next day, or the wifi is bad, or the piped-in music is too loud, or concessions are too expensive, or it's too hot or too cold, or...

The kickoff time doesn't matter. LSU fans just want to get drunk and tailgate all day. As a football crowd, however, there are a lot of better fanbases than ours.

Miss st Bama is the better game but I get Bama being on cbs too much causing Bama fatigue for the national audience

Bama game should be a night game. It’s the same day as UGA vs Tennessee. CBS has to pick that game.
