Agree to that statement- Miami, like Fl. St., were an embarrasment, I bet half of those guys that were on those old teams that did not play pro ball probably ended up on the streets...sick of all the thug crap in sports...but I realize today that teams want to win at any cost...

miami didnt win until they got "thugs" as you call them. ohio state didnt win shite until they got clarett. he left and they suck again. nobody will admit it but you need players with an attitude and a chip on their shoulder in thier huddle

only an immature retard would believe this. There are plenty of examples of dominate players/teams without criminal attitudes. Also, it's unfair to paint all UM players with this persona. Miami won because they had superior talent and coaching. People took extra interest because some of the Miami player's thug behavior.

We did play like Miami against Miami, ironically.

Pre-game shite talking/pushing.........check

Hester makes the "U" then turns it upside down......check

Call an audible to run a fake fg when we were up 40-3 in the 4th quarter.....check

Bowe runs over to their sideline to have some words with his Miami boys after the game......check

Ensuing brawl in the tunnel after the game.....check

and LSU fans need to watch out with the "criminal" talk

we've had our fair share of criminal behavior. all major programs do

giddens, thomas, RP, odom, ej kuale (the enforcer), etc under miles. oliver, damien james, chase pittman, cecil, etc earlier

but most people, i assume, when referring to UM, want us to play like UM on the field. with swagga

My guess is some of you are not of age to actually remember those Miami teams. Yeah, they won games but truly were an embarrassment. 20 years does remove some of the stigma, but it truly was a semi pro football team playing vs college teams.

bullshite. As a NCAA football team they were an embarrassment. They beat the hell out of everyone on and off the football field. The monkiker "thug U" didn't come out of a vacuum. If this were a pro football team, you may be right. Few respected, at the time what Miami represented. Their antics were not viewed as you see them now.

they were fun. CFB needs more teams with emotion, pride, and cockiness

Yes...and it rained like a mother the whole game. Archer's guys decided thug life was cool after that and were never the same.

Far from it. Take that Miami team and put them into todays NCAA climate and you are looking at major probation. If thats what you want for a school, just say it.

Everyone loved how Miami dominated, but I doubt there is a any school who couldn't do what they did if you drop all standards.

If you lack standards and morals. you go for it. I am guessing you are too young to remember and are going off of 20 year old information.
