Lane obviously won’t be accepting a new job until his team is out of the playoffs. But lsu needs to know much sooner than that which route he’s going. If you allow Lane to drag this on until weeks after all football is done, then you just crushed yourself in the portal and with recruits. If lane stays at ole miss then it would benefit him to drag this on to put us behind in the roster building category. We all know Lane loves to troll and doing this would be something that fits him. I would love Lane as a coach here but I don’t want to see LSU get taken for a ride only to come up empty handed.

Louisiana (LSU and the governor) looks like a shite show right now. I'd hold off talking about any coaches as anybody in a good situation would see this as too damn much of a hassle

If he has them in playoffs he isn’t leaving. We won’t wait that long.

Forget for a moment the shite show that Jethro Landry has made of the coaching search which probably has Kiffin running as hard as he can in the opposite direction from the LSU job.

So we fired Brian Kelly and everyone is screaming about that “ridiculous” contract. But now we’re going to turn around and pay Kiffin the 13-15M it will take to get him here? And it will be long-term. It may not be ten but it will be eight.

Anybody who thinks Lane Kiffin will come to LSU and sign an incentive-based deal like Jethro is proposing—is an utter and complete moron.

Orgeron's input will matter far more than Jethro's

We can't be swift as long as their season continues. Hope for 2 USC/Florida/State miracles

yeah but is it on the level of DALSU "done deal" ??

it can be a done deal and somebody pull out last minute which is what happened with jimbo in 2015.

Alabama hired DeBoer on January 12th.

How did that go for them?
