By the time SEC play is over the will have a solid RPI and SOS. They could make it interesting as a bubble team with their resume if they can win some games.

They will be at a talent disadvantage in nearly every game though. But they will have a coaching advantage in every game they play. Teams will wake up starting now though. You won't catch any teams sleeping on them.

Just wondering how Central Michigan #73 jumped us with that schedule.

If we can grab some more wins like today and jump into the top 50, we could have a legitimate shot at making the dance. We don’t really have any bad losses yet, and beating two tournament teams (Houston, Michigan) in OOC will go a long way. This team has potential to do it, but it’s gonna be tough.

Getting into the NIT is more realistic.

If Sampson can play how he was playing before he got hurt and Duop can be more consistent, LSU could make a run. The LSU I saw against Michigan looked like a tournament team. I'm just glad they are competitive and play hard again.

Probably, but no team shoots for the NIT.

2 good wins OOC. Beat A&M and almost beat Kentucky. Those are not accidents. Team is very solid and can realistically reach the Big Dance. It's a guard and shooter's game and league and LSU has very good guards and perimeter shooters.

They need to keep winning. It won't be easy and the rest of the month of January looks really daunting, with none of the games, except vs. Vandy @ home, look like a better than 50% probability of an LSU win.

Not surprising that you can’t see any future outcomes

The way Alabama is playing right now, I could see us winning that one at home

As long as we remember that this team is a huge work in progress we should be able to enjoy this season. The depth is coming next year. This year's team is shaping up to be a huge improvement and a sign of things to come.

The future is bright baws!

At this point every SEC win is a "good win" for RPI purposes. LSU just beat a team that was 0-2 in conf. play and it was STILL a huge win (b/c A&M was ranked highly and the win was on the road). Wednesday is a chance to get another HUGE win at Arkansas. Do that, and LSU like finds themselves in the 60's

The SEC is tough this season.

Even if they lose to arky, both UGa and bama have decent rpis that we can get at home. The sec is full of decent wins this season, hopefully we can take advantage.

It is just so nice seeing a team that is well coached and competitive. You can see they are not loaded with talent but they play hard and are very engaged.

Offensive and defensive sets!!

we are not an easy win and the SEC knows that now.
