What’s the outlook on who we will lose from this team going into next year?

We lose a lot and what we return depends if Squirrel goes pro. 3/4ths or so we lose. But this was arguably the most dominant NCAA track team ever, despite losing world record holder mondo to the pros as a 1 and done. Returning 1/4th of the insane quality we had is still a great base. If Squirrel returns, they are still a force. Coach Shaver is great at developing sprinters out of nowhere.

Watching JuVaughn again and remembering how way back in the sixties, Dick Fosbury radicalized the high jump with the Fosbury Flop, jumping with his back to the pole instead of the conventional “leg over.”

I guess everyone does the Fosbury Flop now.

I remember, back in the Skip Bertman days, we used to celebrate the track Nattys with the baseball Nattys. I attended several of those events both in the Old Box, and in the PMAC. Maybe things are getting back to normal.

I saw the women have some big time recruits but haven’t heard a word about any men’s signings

Would be a bit surprised if squirrel didn’t come back for one more season

Burrell is pretty much all effort and athleticism right now. It looks like he still has a lot to learn from a technique standpoint.

Shaver was chewing some arse in the runners' Instagram videos. They were all live streaming from the infield and he said "HEY! I'VE GOT TO BE ABLE TO HEAR THE QUESTION"

He basically said he ran the event because he was the third best 400m guy and had kinda run hurdles in high school

He is gonna be scary good

How about suck my wrinkly balls?

But hey we know you’re an all knowing track guy. Been to as many track meets as some of us and follow the sport for decades.

This is WITHOUT WIN
9.77 Trayvon BROMELL
9.85 Marvin BRACY
9.89 Isiah YOUNG

Noah Lyles is a monster in 100 and 200.
Never count out Justin Gatlin. He is running. If you want to run sprints, you watch his starts.

200 ( very best shot)
Lyles
Norman
Bednarek
Laird
This kid at UF was impressive. If he learns to start in the next couple weeks could bury him.

You've been following track for decades and were basing our national hopes on runners not setting a PR at the regionals?

Hay Boy Hayyy!

Now explain what the rest of your post was about. I'm confused. Did you mean without wind?

The only people actually out of eligibility that were in Eugene are grey, hislop, peebles, and Terry. Probably won’t know until after trials about Harrison, laird, and williams. Burrell will probably still need to make the team and run faster to get a contract worth leaving for, not typically much money in 400 hurdles.

I'm no track coach at all but I was watching that race and, at the 2nd hurdle, I thought to myself, "Did he just jump that hurdle like a distance runner fricking around at high school track practice?"

Glad I'm not crazy. Makes the win even more impressive.

Today was only the 10th time he has ever run that race in a meet. If you search the LSU track social media accounts you can find the first time he ran it back in April. The difference between then and now is incredible.

How about you explain how this team that didn’t advance anyone from regionals that wasn’t supposed to score managed to win a championship by 31 points with the 2nd highest team total ever bitch boy.

I answered the question if I thought Laird would make the team in a couple weeks. Well, it is not likely unless as an alternate or on a relay team. I simply listed the US sprinters that are out there that have better times than Laird some this season and knowing they take 3 sprinters in each event. His best chance is in the 200. He has a single race in their class sub-10 that had a 3m/s wind. The guys he is running against are all running sub-10’s and are professionals ie know how to get through prelims and elevate their game. There is no running down these guys if you get a bad start. None.

WTF are you talking about? You know how I know you are a kid and white? I’ve never seen you at any track meet. You can watch replays of old track meets abs see me in the crowds including several NCAA Championships at LSU, UT and even Oregon a time or 2.
I never miss the Texas Relays - my favorite. In fact, I remember Bracy as a high schooler running at that meet against the pro’s.
It doesn’t matter what you think. I know what we have been like since Pat left and frankly, Boo has made this a reality. Go back look abs see what has changed
