I can jive with that.

Would’ve been a fun time if kiptoo held that pace. I’m sad kiprop from bama didn’t run well. I ran with his best friend from Kenya in Monroe. He’s a good dude

Am I wrong here or would LSU have broken a record for meet points if our 4x400m team had qualified and finished in 3rd or better?

Record would have been nice but I’ll take the NC

I admit i’m not a big track fan but this is boring as hell. Stick to speed events.

To Each their own. I absolutely LOVE watching elite runners compete in the 800m and up.

Oh for sure. I'm not shitting on this moment. I'm more excited than any of my friends and family.

I was just curious as it was mentioned earlier in the week.

I didn’t realize Burrell was that nice

That was a huge PR, but not many athletes run sub 46 in high school so his breakout was inevitable.

And Tzuriel. Another freshman.

Altho squirrel might have run too fast. If he makes Olympics in 2 weeks, nobody could blame him for cashing in by going pro in a modestly paid sport that a disproportionate amount of your lifetime earnings come from being a pro a year where you can generate Olympic buzz for yourself.

Heyyy now. I love some gluts and pecs. But I ran track for a LONG time. Started in 1983 at 8 yrs old for Red Stick Track club based at Catholic High. I ran the 800, 1500, 3000 while other kids played baseball. I was running 7 mile loops around the LSU lakes(From CHS and back) before I was 10 yrs old.

My first letter in HS was for Track my Freshman year. Them 6th place finishes in the 800m and 1600m paid off.
By Jr year I moved to 400m and 4x400m
I got to run in the 1993 4A State Meet at Bernie Moore in the 4x400m. I was the slowest runner on the track that night by about 5 seconds, but it was an experience I'll never forget.

I love this sport even though I was very average at best in HS.

Not really. Maybe like 2%.
