That’s good because the last two Houston games have been canceled.

2017 BYU (Hurricane Harvey)
2020 Rice (COVID-19)

But yes I believe LSU was way more involved with relief post Katrina

Weather hates a LSU-McNeese matchup. I am still astounded that LSU and McNeese just canceled their game. I never thought I would see that.

Wouldn’t hurt to play the game at McNeese. Biggest crowd in McNeese history to say the least

I evac'd to BR for Rita and went to that game.

I've never been so damn hot at night in my life.

Same — brought our youngest to the game — was her first at age 3 1/2. Drunk guy behind us leaned over to say hi (we’d sat by them for years) and fell down a row and took her out in the way down. Drink guys son was about mid 20s and was pissed and apologized the whole game. Good times.

Yeah that’s true. LSU does owe Houston a game or two. I personally think it doesn’t hurt to play in Houston once every 2 or 3 seasons the same way Bama does with Atlanta. It keeps our presence here and helps recruiting. Plus Houston is full of LSU fans. You can make a case we are second behind A&M in greater Houston.

Give us Texas Tech, Arizona State, Colorado or Oklahoma State at NRG. Now that’s a decent OOC game. The likelihood of getting a blue blood like Michigan to come down and get killed isn’t happening.

I'd honestly prefer it to just be at mcneese

Christ knows Lake Charles and Calcasieu Parish could use a little money from a game there.
Why are the decision makers so myopic

I’ve already had my September hotel reservations for LSU games canceled by the hotel. Email said Embassy Suites is being used for lineman, Guard, and adjusters. It’s going to be difficult for fans traveling to Baton Rouge for at least the next month.

That’s 100% never going to happen from a realistic standpoint. They’d cancel the game before they did that. We are paying mcneese to come play us. We aren’t going to pay mcneese and then go pay for more expenses to play at their stadium.

But if we took $ out of the equation, LSU playing a game in Lake Charles would be cool.

agree it would be cool....except it would be hot as hell!

All McNeese home games are at Noon this year due to the Stadium still not having lights.

I still remember the last time LSU baseball played at McNeese, and that place was jam packed. Can only imagine what football would do.

I think LSU would cancel the game before moving it. LSU is paying McNeese to play in TS so LSU can sell tickets, parking, apparel, and concessions. None of that happens at a site other than TS.

F*ck an 11 game season! We wait all year for football, and I want every game we can get. Even if against a cupcake. Also, coming off last season, you really need the revenue.

Luckily I have faith in Woody, and believe this game will be played in Death Valley next Saturday. Campus is fine, and I think the people of South Louisiana could use a Saturday off from cleaning their communities to come to get sauced up and watch the Tigers.

That’s my point. LSU goes in the red playing this game anywhere but TS.
