A 28 point second half against a bottom half Southland conference team.
Anyone that would ever bet on LSU basketball should have their head examined.

That was probably the worst basketball of McMahon's tenure in the second half. Team did not look engaged at all.
Hard to bounce back from the epic, program defining win vs SMU

And they went under the total by 1 point.

Some of you are really intent on being douchebags about a really good win. Clearly you don't actually want LSU to be successful.

a million turnovers and half a million missed free throws for LSU in the second half

Are you serious don't want lsu to be successful, that was absolutely pathetic the way they played tonight, they should have buried that team by 30! If you want to be in the ncaa tournament you have to play like it every game! No excuses! That's on the coach he needs to get his players ready to play every game no matter who playing period!

Don't tell all those teams who will be in the NCAA tourney this year that blew early games to vastly inferior teams. We didn't blow any, we just won by 15 instead of 20

Thanks. Even with that number I suspect he benefitted from playing several minutes with Thomas tonight as well which I don’t really recall happening previously. It seems like nearly every time he subs in for Thomas around the under 12 timeout the other team goes on a significant run.

LOL.. Texas Tech beat N Iowa 101-90 last game. They not only won by 11 but they let an FCS school score 90. You people are f**king idiots.

Maybe I should be happy I missed this one and could only watch the gamecast.

quote:Yeah I called it perfectly and said Mac would have to motivate them to hustle after the big win last game. I got downvoted by 4. Don't know what they were thinking but we did not play defense or rebound like we should have. I guess the team thinks we can outshoot everyone and forget about the other parts of the game. In answer to another post, no we didn't set a record for turnovers and in fact had a small number but Thomas did have 3 which is bad for him.

And Sutton was good on three pointers as well as McKinnon. The rest of the team, especially King and Thomas, not so good. So now we have another sleeper coming up in Praire View. A team supposedly worse than Southeastern. Is Mac going to be able to wake them up and have them hustle and play defense or will it be another much closer than it should have been game?

You people keep doing this, comparing low end performances with accomplished programs. It’s a false equivalence, those teams have wins of merit so the comparison is nonsensical. Tonight isn’t a big deal, it’s the Holliday, families are moving around and starting break, it happens but saying “muh it’s the same thing as Purdue beating a bad team by 12 points” makes you look like an ignorant fool.

How about when Miller icomes in for Nwoko? Somehow they are playing about the sane number of minutes. I know Nwoko getting into foul trouble has something to so with it but not all. Have you noticed that almost every time Nwoko comes out that Mac has something to say to him but Miller seems to lead a charmed life despite the fact that he does almost nothing. Tonight he was totally non aggressive, missed free throws when he was fouled and added nothing to the offense.
