Gonna take some special kinda magic from my AD Scottie to get the MBB Program to rebound in a reasonable period of time. Or an unprecedented opening of coffers.
Being the die-hard LSU fan I am though means I'll still be in front of the TV hopelessly cheering when I catch a game or two though.....

You do realize Michigan, Louisville, and Vanderbilt all made the tourney this yr with new coaches?

So the counter argument to LSU being cellar dwellers and so bad it’s hard to watch is that they’ve always been terrible? If they’ve always been terrible, why are people noticing and upset about last few seasons?

Yep! And although there is some public sentiment to give MM another year to right-at least the direction of the ship, I can see the fumes emanating from his seat right now. Losing Reed, didn't help his situation but even without Reed the team grossly underperformed. Not having a Ja Morant on the floor (like he had at Murray State) may have revealed some major coaching flaws.
Question is, would that be Scottie's first corrective move? Recruiting will be key, but keeping MM might hurt the efforts to improve in that department too.
Hate advocating for someone's job but writing starting to reflect brightly off the wall.

Dead McMan Walking could get UNLV's 1990 championship players and it wouldn't matter b/c he wouldn't know how to use them. It's so depressing being an LSU fan during basketball season.

This is why I dont understand why we dont get a legit coach that will keep us in the hunt every year. Kinda like the one we had before. I get why all that had to happen but can we just bring him back now or at least someone that gets me excited to watch.

If LSU somehow make the tournament next year will the admin say that is enough to keep MM one more year?
