We ran it alot more just going off memory Sat. I think McMath's TD was out of bunch formation (he was opposite of overload).
By your nomenclature, McMaths TD was out of a "Tight" formation. No one was split out at all.

It was at 5:07 of the 2nd quarter (as per ESPN's play-by-play)

Just curious sir, what do you do for a living if you don’t mind me asking? Also, would you be so kind as you give everyone here your resume with respect to implementing and coaching college level offenses? When Joe Brady leaves at some point, I’m sure Woodward will be interested in interviewing you!

Receivers drops are back in a big way too.

I mean if we are going to over analyze a game
Agree. The benefits of the 10K Summer jugs reps don't last forever. They need daily reps throughout the season as ell.

There's a reason the best NFL wrs get their reps every day.

We do use that formation or variations of that formation a lot...but it looks to me that it's a game-to-game decision based on game plan for a specific team.

I don't know the tight vs spread breakdown for the whole year, but that looked like a more condensed and run heavy offense than we have seen all year to me. And it didn't worK as well

Im fine with experimenting against MSU, but there is some doubt in my mind now that Orgeron is going to let us fully run the spread against Auburn and Bama.

True.

And LSU had 86 total yards rushing against Miss State.

The beauty of LSUs offense this season is that it's so good they can take time in games to work on other things, because if those other things dont quite work then you just go back to what worked and light em up.

It is smart to be able to execute multiple offensive styles and formations including bunch sets and hell even I formation if you can. It's a larger bag of tricks and more chances to catch the defense sleeping.

Perhaps more importantly, it's something that Bama and Auburn have to spend valuable time preparing for, whether we use it or not.

Really? I mean if he had any doubts I believe 3rd and 17 never happens.

If he would have that train of thought would he have not done the same against Florida whom had just come off a win against Auburn and was ranked higher with just as dominant a defense?

Some of you are dipshits. You work on things when you know a team cant beat you. In the words of Joe Brady, "They Cant fricking Stop Us" when we run our spread so why fret when you experiment with other stuff for a minute.

Kind of like the defense, there has been a concerted effort in the first half of games especially to work on and perfect the zone defense. Obviously they were not very good at it.

Then in the second half Aranda would dial up his man sets and shut it down, we saw it vs Florida. Well against State the zone was working alot better and the defense has seemed to finally be getting it

Miss St had no trouble defending it.

They had plenty of trouble defending it. We didn’t punt once in the 1st half. Burrow threw for 300+ again and 4 TDs with a 92.3 passer rating. Clyde had several big runs out of bunch. Both of Moss’ big catches down the left sideline were out of bunch, as was McMath’s long TD.

That’s the point, we’ve been using bunch all season. You act like this is the first time we ran it. Have you been watching the games?

It's called a "GAMEPLAN"

Something LES MILES knew nothing of....
Keep doing the same thing and the defensive peeps will figure it out

BTW Dropped Touchdown in first quarter and i don't remember the other one

So, the Atlanta Falcons are running the Bunch. Sweet!

They have 1 win and 6 losses... Right?

Article was from August 2017 in reference to the 2016 season in which Atlanta reached the Super Bowl.

Did you read the article? Any comments on what you read?

you have never heard of tight formations?

what about

shotgun bunch?

gun snugs?

they still create natural picks and rubs and make it tougher at times to stay with your man.

watch saints. educate yourself.

Let's take a look at these drives with this "failed approach" in the 1st half....

Drive 1: First failed approach got us to 1st and Goal at the State 2 yard line. We then proceeded to attempt a 1st down pass... Incomplete. And tried another incomplete pass. (Sounds pretty aggressive to me.) FG.

Drive 2: Second failed approach got us to 1st and Goal at the State 7 yard line. We then proceeded to attempt a 1st down pass... Incomplete. And tried another incomplete pass. (Sounds pretty aggressive to me.) FG.

Drive 3: Third failed approach got us to 1st and Goal at the State 10 yard line. We then proceeded to attempt a 1st down pass... Sacked. And tried another incomplete pass. (Sounds pretty aggressive to me.) FG.

Also, we did not punt in the first half.

Also, you are a goober.

There is a difference between “gameplan failure” and “failure to execute a game plan”. Joe said in his post game, when asked about the bunch formations, that it was in the gameplan. It was something that the coaches saw that state did that would allow success out of the bunch. 3 red zone trips. Not the game plans fault we didn’t finish.

Hell and one of the drives a reciever drops a wide open pass in the endzone.

On another one Jefferson is molested in the endzone while attempting to catch a pass that would have been caught if the d-back wasnt pulling him away from the ball
