LSU Passing: 312 yds
KY Passing: 252 yds

LSU Rushing: 194 yds
KY Rushing: 156 yds

LSU Defense passing yds allowed: 106 yds
KY Defense passing yds allowed: 236 yds

LSU Defense rushing yds allowed: 91 yds
Ky Defense rushing yds allowed: 187 yds

A lot of game previews don't mention how dominant our defense has been (#2 in country/#1 in SEC). Missing Weeks/Spears does play a factor, but there is potential to dominate this game on both sides of the ball.

I have been saying all week it will be closer than some think, which means we'll blow them out.

If LSU wins the turnover margin, they win the game.

If LSU loses the turnover margin, the game is closer than it ever should have been.

LSU: In Baton Rouge
Kentucky: In College Station

That plays a factor as well.

Biggest key to the game. LSU needs to clean up the turnovers. Leavitt has thrown an interception in every game this season. Kentucky has feasted off turnovers, otherwise their defense gives up a lot of yards and points. If LSU can protect the ball then I really like our chances.

Off topic, but It's crazy that Alabama won 45-17 but didn't take the lead in that game until 3:00 left in the 3rd quarter. KY never trailed prior to that.

They can play.

Also keep in mind that LSU called the dogs off way early in the A&M game , especially when the injuries started piling up

We could've named the score in that game

I think Kentucky did too. Kentucky threw one pass the entire 4th quarter.

Yeah, my ONLY concern with this game is that Leavitt likes throwing it to the other team.

If he doesn’t, I don’t think this game will be close.

No, I watched that 4th quarter and they were trying to run out the clock. A&M scored two tds in the 4th with time still left to come back so now way Kentucky was calling off the dogs there.

KY is last in the country at 3rd down conversions.

LSU leads the nation in keeping opponents drives from crossing the 50 yd line.

Defense is about to stomp KY.

That's the ball game right there. KY loses to USCe except for turnovers. A&M game is very close minus turnovers.

Lane does not need to get cute or overly aggressive and Sam doesn't need to take unecessarily risky throws. He's got to get better at not starinbg down receivers and avoiding the tipped balls. If LSU plays a smart game and wears them down we walk away with a double digit win. We are better than UK in every head to head category except turnovers.

Underrated stat. Falls that way way more often than not.
