Well, I was expecting CAC to go, then we could have hired Javi back...Ev1 must miss him, I see a lot of "fire Javi" on here...

I would not have thought AC would lose out to another assistant, but Jewett is pretty decorated, and has been successful as a HC, albeit at the CC level. Of course, he's got extensive private school experience.

Nice hire. Tulane has been, and should be again, a top national power.

Glad we're keeping AC--at least for another season or two.

I hope Andy stays planted at LSU till PM retires--- that would be a long shot.

it would definitely be a longshot. More likely that he gets a job elsewhere in the next couple of offseasons. If he's successful there, He's got a great shot at replacing Mainieri when his time is done

According to several posts from weenie fans on the More Sports Board, AC's family did not take it too well & a brother sent a snide tweet to the weenie's A.D. about his hiring the "guy". This should not reflect on AC himself as I am sure he knows this was nothing personal.

Don't be shocked if he gets a job next season as a HC somewhere, the man is a good coach and will either take over CPM or start his own career elsewhere.

Pretty much throughout the 1990's and early 2000's. Two CWS appearances in the early 2000's. That would classify a school as a top national power. They're hoping to get back there with a solid head coach.

2001-2005 I guess would be the only stretch that fit that description. 5 Regional Appearances, 3 Super Regionals and 2 CWS appearances in 5 seasons.
