OBJ will apologize and that will be it.
Ehh... I could easily see LSU banning him from the sidelines and locker room. He was handing out cash on fricking national TV as soon as the game ended. Damn idiotic attention whore.

ESPN this morning was connecting this to the basketball issue last year. Beckham has now proved he is dangerous to the eligibility of the players and needs at least a temporary ban.

and here's the thing....its not just the $$ thing. Slapping the rent-a-cop on the arse and interrupting O during a speech is a pattern of stupid behavior. It wasnt just one thing....albeit, taken individually, none of the acts was egregious.
He just needs to wear a sign around his neck that says "I need attention!"

Done in private is more genuine and less of a show.

I can’t believe we have to pay Bonnette to put out statements like this.

I remember when I had my first beer....OBJ needs to focus on his career, and not screwing with kids.

OBJ...thanks a lot bro. Instead of being a Brown, you acted the Clown

I don’t really care. frick the NCAA. These players should be able to get all the god damn money they can.

quote:Not really great when he's creating a major NCAA compliance/eligibility issue for the school and players while there's hundreds of TV cameras all around them. Players are really going to love it when a returning player ends up with an NCAA suspension to start next season because of OBJ's dumbassery.
Stop being a bitch. It was great and players loved it.
LSU needs to ban OBJ from having field passes after this.

quote:I wouldn't say that's good that one of our most highly recognized former players and an NFL star who current players love and look up to and who has rapped LSU every chance he got, is no longer allowed back. Do I think he should be able to after what he did? Hell no, he's put these coaches and players in a fricked up position. But, do I think that's a good thing? No. Don't let your hate for Odell blind you from the things he's done for this university.
thats the case, good. Sounds like something good will come of it after all.
That said, that was such a dumbass move. I don't get it at all. What was even the purpose of it? From everything I've heard, it seems he was drunk off his arse and acting like an arse all night. Such a stupid move and he deserves whatever consequences are bestowed against him.

What could come from this?
Suspension, sanctions, forfeited title or heisman?
Or nothing burger

"Needs" won't have anything to do with it.
No one but himself to blame
He will be banned from direct contact with the team before, during, and after NCAA sanctioned events.
I'm not bothered much by it, but it definitely wasn't something the school should have had to deal with, and it does show him to be more about himself

quote:Jimmie Kimmel blew the lid off this thing last night on national TV. He had extreme close-ups of the money, plus a photo of OBJ posing with Chase and Jefferson's jerseys.
It's a damn shame that this became a national story. Joe talking about it on PMT bummed me out too.
When Ohio State got busted, it was more for lying about the infractions than the infractions themselves.
Give the money back, take a 2 or 3 game suspension for a player or two, and move on. Not that big a deal.

The NCAA has enabled more project kids to become millionaires than any government plan.

OBJ needs to issue a statement apologizing for being a dumb arse and take the heat off of LSU.

Some of you might be OK with the rest of the country thinking we're all drunks unable to control ourselves or act like normal human beings but you only bring shame on the rest of us.

I can't see how suspensions could even come if LSU immediately investigated and is continuing to be active about it. Especially if they can determine it was returned. I can't see how any returning player would keep the money.
At least this was after the game and season and they can address it before a new season.
