With Emery and Davis coming in next year, it will be a fun team to watch. We don’t have one RB on this roster that could make someone miss, and take it to the house. We had good backs, but not a one made opposing defenses scared.

Of course we have to keep building on both the offensive and defensive lines... which I think we are.

Future looks bright to me!

Our run blocking must improve. Pass blocking looked pretty good yesterday but some of the run blocks were downright awful. Several whiffs and blown assignments.

No offense to Broussette he had a productive senior season. Helaire should have gotten way more touches in this game.

Yeah rushing game could have been huge yesterday with the right player. Our running backs yesterday were dancing too much behind the LOS and missing holes. I know it's easy to say that from the chair, but it was obvious from our view the RB's were not getting it done.

I'll take this moment to shite on Moscona, who said at the beginning of this season "Just wait until Clyde gets in open space, nobody will catch him." while praising CEH and gushing that he was faster than LF in open space.

That said, who doesn't love Clyde? He gets the tough yards we need. Like Pierre Thomas did for the Saints. Next year will be fun in our backfield.

I'll be at the game in Austin. My sister lives almost walking distance from UT.

Offensive line play must improve. The drop off in performance there the past few years has been noticeable. We flat couldn’t run the ball in big games. Not used to seeing that.

The commentators pointed out we aren’t even like top 50 in rushing. If true. That’s gotta change.

I'd keep our current RBs if I could trade for bookend tackles.

Brossette did an incredible job. Clyde Helaire has a lot of heart and refuses to go down. Pumps them legs and carries a host of tacklers. Amazing stuff. I wish we could have gotten a look at some of these other LSU backs.

Right now I'm thinking LSU needs speed and power at RB to complement the existing stable of RB's (who doesn't). You know that one RB who can truck DB's and create his own holes. Basically another Leonard Fournette. Hopefully John Emery will fill that role.

Got to give Joe Barrow (hybrid QB - RB) his due. That is one tough dude. I thought no way is he getting up from that crushing "targeting" hit.

Wow! Can't wait to see these guys in action next season. Amazing and talented group of athletes these young men.

We're fine at running back...It all goes back to the trenches. We need better lineman on both sides of the ball. Both Offensive tackles are mediocre at best and besides Lawrence our D lineman are avg.

the real issue with the new backs: can they pass block? can they spot the stunts? improved pass blocking by the OL may not mean much if the new guys pick that up slow.

There were holes, our backs just aren’t hitting them. They don’t run down hill. There was a reason brossette sat for three years. If you don’t think we need help at RB you’re frickin crazy.

Brossette did a lot of the intangibles exceptionally well. Enjoyed his pass blocking. He became really good as a complete back. Not saying he will have a bright NFL future, but they will take notice of his intangibles come draft day

People keep regurgitating that. But every time Edwards Helaire was given extended carries during the games, it seemed his production over extended periods was not as good as Brossette. Not to say he did not have his moments. It just seems he was not as consistent and dependable as Brossette.
