LSU is a 5.5 point favorite. Does LSU cover the spread?

Yuh... yeah. Nothing, I mean absolutely nothing I’ve seen to this point would lead me to any other conclusion

We’re a 5 point favorite but many talking heads on TV are saying Venables and Lawrence will kick our arse.

LSU for the year met or beat the spread 9 out of 14 games and they missed being 11 out of 14 games by a total of 1.5 points.

Clemson, however, is 11-3 against the spread this season.

The odds say LSU may struggle to cover the spread.

I think it plays like Bama, Texas and Auburn - LSU up two scores with two minutes to go. Clemson maybe scores against our prevent defense, and maybe tries an onsides kick. LSU either wins by two scores (25% chance), one score (60% chance), or loses after giving up an onsides kick. (15% chance). So I think 5.5 is a good spread.

I am honestly surprised it is not more like 13 - 15. If I was inclined to a game of chance I would take those odds.
