the SEC could if they wanted to terminate LSU (and any other SEC member) and LSU or any such SEC member would not be able to pursue legal recourse for its termination.

The thing I don't understand though is this is such a nuclear option. Seeking ability to punish member institutions without getting sued into the ground sure. But seeking the ability to remove an institution for any reason, whether they break a rule or just think of breaking it and deny them any legal recourse seems absurd.

I only brought it up because I feel it is probably playing a part in this entire fiasco. I didn't deep dive into any political stance, nor did I knight for any political figure. Simply stated that I believe it's playing a role here.

Perhaps you, and the few others who have had their heads explode and turned this into a MAGA vs Dems debate, should learn to stop being so sensitive.

They thought the threat would make LSU submit.

Did not work.

You can’t even get your own insults, correct.

Totally not shocked.

Will the judge’s ruling just be on whether or not to dismiss the case, or is he actually ruling guilty/not guilty? If the judge decides not to dismiss, will there be a full trial after that? I just want to make sure that I understand what the next step is.
