With Georgia, it's not so much Georgia Tech its that the following schools are within 2 hours of their border: Alabama, Auburn, Tennessee, Clemson, Florida, Florida State, South Carolina.

LSU has the ability to be a juggernaut but it’s the outdated coach BK screwing up

State borders don’t mean very much in the NIL era.

There is not a single other school in the SEC with that kind of advantage. With that kind of flagship status in a talent rich state.

I don't think you understand what "flagship status" means.

Exactly. You should trust the coaches, no matter what you see when watch the games. Because you probably have “low football IQ”.

Yep. Get ready.

Louisiana is not a "talent-rich state."

I just don’t have words. This is complete bullshite. Flat out wrong.

I won’t bother spending 5 minutes to find some cool graphic/stat to convey to you how fricking dumb that statement is.

But off the top of my head….Odell, BTJ, Maleek, Justin Jefferson, Chase …. Just current NFL crop. Linemen in the NFL - take your damn pick.

Leaving football aside, let’s talk BASEBALL. So many Louisiana players in MLB it’s shocking.

Then go back in history …. Terry Bradshaw. Bert jones.

This state is littered with athletic talent.

You’re just incorrect on this.

You forgot. O left the program in shambles. NIL and the transfer portal does not exist in Louisiana. Kelly only needs another decade and we will be knocking on the door.

Acting like Lane Kiffin is not an incredible coach that can stack his team with NIL money.

Lane Kiffin has not accomplished a damn thing in his P5/P4 coaching career

Most overrated coach ever. Shiny offenses, lots of hype, and a cool bowl game, nothing else. It is always the same with that guy. BK had already achieved more than Kiffin in just one year in the SEC.

Let's start by addressing a common misconception: Louisiana is not a "talent-rich state." We often struggle to find enough players for the trenches.

You’re right and wrong. It’s still a talent rich state, but you’re correct that it’s much more concentrated at the skill positions. Especially WR and DB.

The linemen, both offensive and defensive, do get poached more often than the skill positions too.

Louisiana is 6th in NFL players produced, was 4th a couple years ago and is 2nd in NFL players per capita. It’s a top 5 talent rich state despite being small.

Demographics are working against Louisiana, as only Mississippi is less populated than Louisiana and nobody is moving here.

at like 3 positions and not consistently every year

per capita doesn't mean much recruiting wise when other states' 30th player is ranked higher than your 10th best player

This staff is doing an abysmal job of using our existing talent. BK is a fraud.

Per capita. Per capita doesn’t mean a lot. It just means a lot for the amount of people we have. There’s 46 players on active roster/reserve from LSU. Theres 59 players on active rosters from Louisiana. So a little less than 3.5%. We are a small state in comparison. Many (18) of those LSU players aren’t from Louisiana also. So still not the same.

People look at per capita and think that should mean we have an embarrassment of riches. We have a state that produces some amazing talent yes. But it doesn’t produce depth of talent. A deep depth chart wins games. Louisiana does not have that.

In 2024, approx 30 players signed D1 scholarships from Louisiana. Texas has approx 250. Could you imagine if Louisiana had 8.3 times the players to choose from?

We’re 7th nationally in NFL players produced since 1967.
